Exploring the Beauty of Neulop Plimbang Reservoir, Activities and Stunning Views

A few days ago, I visited the Neulob Plimbang Reservoir, a natural tourist destination in my city of Bireuen, Aceh. This reservoir offers spectacular natural beauty, with calm waters surrounded by green hills.
However, if my friends could visit during the rainy season and the weather was better, the views would certainly be even more stunning due to the abundant water.
It's a bit unfortunate that my friends and I visited a few days ago during the dry season, when the reservoir's water levels had already begun to recede.

This time, I want to share some images of this place along with a short post from my visit.

Heading there via Keude Plimbang, from the Plimbang cafe to the location, the journey is quite pleasant because several vast palm oil plantations adorn our eyes along the well-maintained roads, and even in the afternoon, the place is quite crowded with visitors.

We finally arrived at the site after a 15-minute drive from Keude Plimbang.
The activities I observed at the site included several visitors strolling around the reservoir, enjoying the scenery, and some engaging in sports activities like jogging in the afternoon.

This reservoir is surrounded by lush green forest, so I believe the serene atmosphere of this reservoir is a major draw for visitors seeking a break from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The cool breeze and the soothing green scenery make the Neulob reservoir worthy of being called a hidden paradise in my area.

However, it's a bit unfortunate that due to the current dry season, the water level in this reservoir is starting to dwindle. Even the main gate is closed due to the lack of water. The small gate I captured above is also closed. Hopefully, the remaining water supply in this reservoir will still be sufficient for the surrounding farmers.

Besides offering stunning natural scenery with calm waters and surrounding green hills, this spot is also captivating in the evening, when you can see birds flying overhead. Here are some of the images I captured while observing a flock of birds passing by.

For me personally, this is a very serene atmosphere. This reservoir has a very calm and peaceful atmosphere, making it an ideal place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature.
