“A Lovely Day in Nature: A Calm and Joyful Day, And Quick Visit to Bugac Cold Spring, Surigao del Sur”

This story I want to share was 3 years ago. One day, we went on a trip, from Davao to Surigao, after my late father's funeral. Since my youngest sister is staying in Surigao, her husband is hometown. We just took a bus from Davao to Surigao. The place they are staying is near all the springs and the beach, and the nature is so beautiful. But it was a very happy, quick stop and visit. I got up in the morning. The sun was already shining. The sky was blue, and the fresh breeze was so good. I walked into a place with many trees. It was quiet and peaceful. I looked down and saw our shadows on the grass. It looked nice. The sun made our shadows long. I smiled. It was a very simple moment that I can look back on now, and it made me feel good

While walking, we found a nice place to sit. There were wooden chairs and tables. The ground had green grass. There were many pretty trees around me. I walked slowly. Then I sat down. I take a sip of the cup of hot coffee. The cup was pink, which I think is a cute cup. The coffee smelled very nice. It made me feel happy. I took a sip. The coffee was hot that I could feel the smoke and feel relaxed. The wind was soft. Everything felt calm. I didn’t need anything else. Just this coffee, the trees, and quiet time. Then, we got hungry. And just nice to pair with coffee, the fried sweet potatoes with sugar. They were brown, crispy, and smelled so good. I took a bite. Crunchy outside, soft and sweet inside. I shared the food and talked. It was a simple breakfast, but it made us happy. Eating together in a paradise place like that was very special.

After our coffee, my brother-in-law, who his my sister's husband, asked us if we wanted to spring. We went to a spring. The water was very clear and clean. Many people were swimming and having fun. Some were sitting, some were laughing, and children were playing. Everyone looked happy. I watched them and smiled. The water looked cold and fresh. It was nice to see people enjoying nature. Then on the way back, we walked near a small river. The water was moving over the rocks. It made a soft sound. I liked that sound. It was peaceful. One of the boys is playing in the river. He was running and laughing. He was so happy. It made me remember my childhood. I also played in rivers like that when I was young.

We rested again in the garden with wooden benches. The place was very quiet. No noise, just the sound of birds and the wind. The sky was still blue. Some clouds were floating. The trees moved slowly with the wind. It was a perfect moment. I looked around and felt thankful. Thankful for this simple day. This day taught me something. When I remember, we were a bit sad, especially my mother, but in the simple place we learn to feel comfort. I’m so thankful that I have these photos and clear memories to look back on. We don’t need shopping malls or big restaurants. We just need nature, good food, and someone to share it with. A walk under the trees, a hot drink, a plate of sweet potatoes, and fresh water to swim in, these are already enough. I want to have more days like this. Days without stress. Days without noise. Just calm, clean, and happy moments. Nature gives us everything for free: air, water, trees, and peace. It was a simple day, but it was full of joy. I will always remember it.
