The Light We Overlook

The sun is ready to give light to people by shining on them.
People look forward to its rising, to brighten their day.
It dissipates energies of influence all around.
In the different seasons God has created,
The sun is not left out of its own beauty,
Which makes it clear that it is extraordinary in the ordinary.

It illuminates the darkness;
Upon its appearance, darkness disappears.
Its rising spells hope, inspires, and reassures people around
That there is reason and a new opportunity to rise again,
To fight, struggle, try, and win.

Its setting spells no doom either,
But that rest is near for the weary.
It is used to predict time;
It gives light and life.
It proclaims hope to the hopeless.

It might not seem significant or essential to some,
For they are carried away by its presence,
But its absence makes them cherish it most.
It obviously illuminates the whole wide world,
Giving light and guidance that help people find direction.

Darkness fails to comprehend it.
Its impact is felt in everything and everywhere.
Farmers rejoice when it sets on their input.
It lights many generations and beyond;
Its strength lies in its versatility.

It improves human relations
By binding people together through its illumination
And helps men build and maintain relationships.

It is ultimately interested in revealing
The things that are hidden and unclear.
It erases darkness, ignorance, confusion,
And misdirection through the creativity of God.

It helps the world discover what was lost.
It cannot be hidden, for it is too enlightening.
