Intrinsic Intelligence (Original Poetry)

Intrinsic Intelligence - Original Poetry by Krisz Rokk

You call yourself a seeker
without knowing thyself
a hunter,
a gatherer
of knowledge,
power,
and wisdom
Are you willing to embrace change?

Beliefs,
identities,
patterns,
you proudly wear these jackets
without questioning the meaning of life.

Am I lovable?
Am I worthy?

You want to belong,
uncover truths on your path
digging yourself deeper
into the endless vortex of misery
you created
by relying on external voices,
great magicians,
amazing energy vampires
feeding from your weakness
once you let your guard down.

Stop walking half-dead through life
turn inwards
observe your thoughts
surrender to the present moment
and let consciousness flood your cells
with endless energy
that is available to all of us.

Joy,
bliss,
ecstasy,
Why look for enlightenment
when your intrinsic intelligence
is wiser than any mystic
you’re desperately trying to find
in the world outside.

Frustration,
anxiety,
shame,
guilt,
When did we become addicted
to these altered states of consciousness
we label as normal
in this 3D realm gone haywire.

A human experience
so wonderful,
and unique by design.
You chose this adventure
disconnect from the noise
it’s time to remember
who you truly are.

Great writing usually sometimes we forget who we really are, but usually in the change is the evolution and if it is something for the good of us welcome, I love this poem, thanks for sharing it ♥

Yes, unfortunately we 'stumble' into life and allow life to happen to us, forgetting who we truly are along the process. Thank you for kind words. Have a lovely day.

Are you willing to embrace change?

That’s the real question, isn’t it? So often we think we are willing to, and we even think that we are doing it, but in reality, we don’t want to change and aren’t changing. It’s not an easy issue to get to the bottom of.

When I was at uni we had a guest professor lead one of my management classes. And I'll never forget the impact of an exercises he did that was associated with "change". He asked the entire audience to get up (approx. 150 students) and find a colleague to do the following exercise:

He asked all the pairs to turn their backs to each other and change something about themselves: clothing, glasses, whatever. Than we had to face each other again and discuss what we changed and why we changed that particular thing. Now here's what happened and keeps happening all over the world where this guest professor conducted this specific exercise:
90-95% of the people associate change with loss!
They put down a pen, their glasses, take out their shirt, remove a jacket or their shoes etc.
Less than 5% grab a book from the nearby desk or pick up something from the floor or similar.

I'll never forget this exercise as it was so profound. It taught me such a valuable lesson.
Therefore spot on: change is not an easy issue no matter how often we toot the horn about it.

Wow. Isn’t that fascinating. I’m guessing that I probably would have tried removing something too. For some reason, that seems like the obvious thing to do. Maybe I’ll try that with my students and see how they respond.

You're a teacher, very cool. Yes, do the exercise if you get the chance. I'm really interested as to how your students will deal with change disguised as stated above in the exercise.

I like the message here: Get back to what's essential. Choose joy, gratitude, and soul.

Delightful and intense poem vibrating with energy.

Stop walking half-dead through life
turn inwards
observe your thoughts
surrender to the present moment
and let consciousness flood your cells
with endless energy
that is available to all of us.

An interesting reflection on the world we live in, full of images and stimuli that create anxiety and distance us from our deepest essence.

Hence the importance of turning inwards and reconnecting with our innate intelligence. Thank you!
