The mum took her to the hospital because she was very ill. When they arrived, the doctor carried out a test and discovered the problem. Drugs were administered, and they left for home.

When they got home, that was when the war started whenever the mum tried to give her the drugs as prescribed by the doctor. Whenever the drugs were put into her mouth, swallowing them became the problem, and she would spit them out. This continued, and the mum kept forcing her to take the drugs.

One evening I visited them and happened to witness the scene. It was funny and at the same time annoying. I shouted at the young girl to take the drugs, or I would not give her the gift I had promised. The drama continued, so I decided to taste a little portion of the drugs, and indeed, when it touched my tongue, I could not hold it for three seconds. I spit it out, it was a bitter pill. There and then I understood that we may not truly understand what others are going through until we have a little taste of it.
