This is my post for #freewriters 2801 prompt poisonous mixture hosted by @mariannewest

I have searched my land and the preserve in my backyard, and I have not found any wild lettuce, so I ordered a bottle of it. I am not sure if it is the same as what people are making themselves because it says to use 1ML mixed in a glass of water, and everyone who makes it says you do not want to take more than 2 or 3 drops. I posted on a WL site and asked if it is the same as they make, but no one has replied.

I also ordered these seeds of Lactuca Virosa, this is the one that is supposed to be the most potent. But I can not plant the seeds yet, it is too hot here. It grows in zones 5 to 9, and I am in 10a, so I am hoping I can grow it in the winter. The package says they will not germinate in temperatures higher than 85. I will wait until the end of October to plant them.

My sister has been looking for it for me, and when I was explaining to her what to look for and told her the plant has a milky sap, she said she thought anything with a milky sap was poisonous. I told her what I want to make is not a poisonous mixture, people take it all of the time, and I have never heard of anyone dying from it. I think people say that because some plants might be poisonous, but not all of them with a milky sap are poisonous. There is a plant called Fire on the Mountain that I feed to Rudy, it has a milky sap.

Dandelions also have a white milky sap, but they are edible.

yep, I think the all plants with white sap being poisonous must come from old wives tales.

Thank you, that would be nice to grow, but cannabis is illegal in my state. Wild lettuce is legal.
