5 minute freewrite 2690 prompt full of ants

I forget the year, but it was one we had a lot of rain. My husband found this ant hill. Neither of us had ever seen them build a nest like this one, it was full of ants. I wondered if all the ants in our yard came together to build the Noah's Ark of ant hills.

This prompt also reminds me of the time we camped at a place called Miller's on the northwest coast of Florida. We were sleeping in our tent when something started biting me. I woke my husband and told him I was being bit by something. That is when they started on him.

He found his flashlight, and when he shined it on our sleeping bags, he saw they were full of ants, fire ants are what they are called for those who have never heard of them. I think they are called this because they set you on fire when they bite......

Today is my oldest son's birthday. It has been too many years since I last saw him, and not a day goes by that I do not miss him. Happy Birthday, son.
