This is my post for #freewriters 2688 prompt a dirty dish hosted by @mariannewest

One of my son's birthdays was on Monday, and the other has a birthday this Saturday. On Tuesday, my daughter baked two birthday cakes even though one of her brothers lives in another state. I asked why two cakes and she told me it was because she was tired of every month there is always something like a birthday or holiday and she was getting it all over at one time.

I asked her about the card, and she said she was tired of buying cards so this card would be for everyone, they will need to read it and give it back to her.

I have to say, she has a good idea with the card, but baking two cakes when no one in the house eats that much cake is not a good idea.

As she was going to bed that evening, she said, "Mom, will you do something with the cakes?" I told her she baked them so she could find a place in the fridge for them. When I got ready for bed, the cakes were still on the kitchen island. I was upset at her, but I saw that she did clean the kitchen, there was not a dirty dish to be found and that made me feel better, but finding room for 2 cakes was a challenge.

She did all that she could ... love shows up in different ways ... and, some cakes also freeze fairly well for a short term ... you can slice them and wrap them, and take some out when you want...

Thank you, I did not think about freezing them.
