Sometimes it is quite interesting to observe your colleagues. Day to day, they will look absolutely clueless, lazying around and getting others to help clear work that they deemed as low value. However, whenever there is a bigger set of meetings where the department heads attend, these people suddenly spring up to life. From absolutely clueless to become the greatest theorist there is in the department. From the listless individual to the most enthusiastic employee.

Often there are only 2 outcomes, with one being that the department whom think these people are superb employees and actively contributing or the latter where they make a fool out of themselves because their theories are all wrong. The former might land these individuals a promotion and cause more problems for everyone else in the future, while the latter will just become a lunch time coffee talk for many.

No matter what it is, there are many variants of people in the workplace. Know how to manoeuvre around them and do what is best for yourself. Thrive not strive.
