Las pesadillas recurrentes que sufría Richard, le hacían escuchar en sueños una voz potente que le decía ¡Despierta!.

Sudoroso y angustiado, despertaba desorientado, hasta que luego de pasado un tiempo se calmaba al saber que todo era producto de su soledad.

Para despejar su espíritu, luego de esos episodios, abre la ventana de su habitación, contempla las estrellas, y se pregunta si esa voz interior procede de lo más recondito del universo.
