Intuitive CHRISTMAS CARD
Now a little abstract
Yes, not entirely intuitive.
I had bought a bunch of fake gold, thought it would be nice to use in my paintings. Oh, so difficult.
I thought I would start simply with a gold cube. I looked online how to attach gold leaf? I had seen before that you put oil or glue and pick up the leaf with a brush, God how difficult it was and is!
You see the black cube that has a small sunrise, that's what was left of the gold cube. Then it was just a matter of painting this particular shape that I love, because it's such a grateful loop in my brain.
Despite all the trouble, it turned out pretty well, I think!

Ja, inte helt intuitiv. Jag hade köpt en bunt fake guld, tänkte att det kunde vara fint att adera i mina målningar. Ack så svårt. Tänkte att jag skulle börja enkelt med just en guld kub. Jag kollade på nätet hur man fäster guldblad? Jag hadde ju sett förut att man lägger en olja eller limmar och tar upp bladet med en pensel, Gud vad svårt det va och är!
Ni ser den svara kuben som har en liten soluppgång, det är vad det blev kvar av guldkuben.
Sedan va det bara att måla just den här formen som jag älskar, för det är en så tacksam slinga i min hjärna. Trots alla besvär blev den ganska bra, tycker jag!

Despite the complications with the materials and the making of the cube you have made it look spectacular, every little detail you have added around it is beautiful. I love the idea of an intuitive Christmas card and the experimentation with unusual materials. Wonderful.
Besides, Christmas is just that, an endless thanksgiving for all the good things received, and in that way it multiplies not only for us but for the whole universe. As I always tell you, your works of art are masterful and I admire them very much. Great job! Thank you very much and huge hug!

STOPNice layering of textures. The design reminds me of coral or kingsnakes I used to find in the desert of Arizona.
My wife is also experimenting with gold leaf, looks quite difficult. She managed to get it just right but then the gold faded to a mottled silver because of maybe the wrong glue. Easier to stick with gold paint.
Is your wife on HIVE? It would have been nice to see something she did!
