Pixel Posting | Hands Off the Tablet, Onto the Wall, 4/7

Hey everyone, it’s good to have you here—whether you're returning for the art updates or just curious what I’ve been up to lately.

Usually, this space is all about pixels, animation loops, and the chaos of balancing creative energy with everyday life. But today, we’re taking a detour(Don't get me wrong, art stuff is still included <3). A personal one. One that involves a surprising new passion, a lot of chalk, and a fair share of sore fingers.

I’ve started bouldering, and I’m genuinely excited to share how it’s become something I look forward to more than I expected.

Now let me be clear—I’m not starting from zero. I’ve got my history with fitness and time spent in the gym, so I’m not exactly a couch potato trying to climb walls for the first time. That said, I was definitely a bit rusty. My grip strength had room for improvement, and let’s just say mobility wasn’t my strongest suit after months spent hunched over a tablet.

But when the idea of trying bouldering came up, I was all in. No hesitation. I’ve always liked the idea of full-body problem solving—something that challenges you both mentally and physically. So walking into the climbing gym for the first time felt more like an exciting opportunity than something intimidating.

And yeah, I felt confident. Not in an over-the-top way, but in that solid, grounded way where you know you’re capable—you just haven’t tested yourself like this in a while. Of course, that confidence got checked pretty quick on some of the tougher routes. There are moments, especially when I’m halfway up and facing a tricky overhang or awkward foot placement, where a little doubt creeps in. I’ll catch myself hesitating, second-guessing my next move, or stressing out about a fall. But overall? I’ve embraced the challenge head-on.

Unfortunately I don't have any art related to bouldering yet, but still I habe prepared something for you!

Thanks for checking out my artwork ;) , let's get back to finish off the topic.

There’s something magnetic about the sport. Each climb is a self-contained puzzle. You walk up to a wall covered in colored holds and your brain instantly starts strategizing—where to place your hands, how to shift your weight, what order to approach the moves in. It’s creative in a completely different way from art, but it lights up the same parts of my brain.

And the vibe? Super welcoming. I expected at least a little ego floating around, but everyone’s been chill, open, and helpful. Total strangers give tips, cheer you on, and genuinely seem happy to share space with people at different levels. That kind of atmosphere? Rare—and it makes all the difference.
So yeah, consider this the beginning of a new obsession. Pixel art is still very much part of my world, but bouldering? It’s bringing something fresh into my life. A sense of movement. Challenge. Progress. A break from the screen that still feels like a kind of creation.
