Meteor Orbit (BL Manhwa)

It's been a while since I shared something BL-related here. I've been crazy about fantasy, martial arts, and gaming themes recently, so I didn't have enough time to read BL. However, there's a BL manhwa I read last month that I haven't shared yet, so I'd like to talk about it.

The manhwa is categorized under the shonen ai and fantasy genres. It's called Meteor Orbit, though it's also sometimes named as *"Shoot for the Stars".

The story initially focused on Yuseong, the manager of the popular Korean star Taewon. Around a decade ago, both Yuseong and Taewon were idol trainees, but for some reason, they ended up the way they are.

A car accident involving Taewon's car occurred, so to protect the star, the entertainment agency's boss threatened Yuseong and forced him to take the blame. And so, he was arrested.

While in the police station, Yuseong reflected on his life until that point and wished to go back ten years ago, and when he does, he's determined not to give up on his dream of becoming an idol... no matter what!

Wish granted! The 31-year-old Yuseong came back to his 21-year-old self... determined to debut with all his co-trainees at that time. :) Will he make it this time around? How will he deal with the upcoming struggles and challenges? Well, it's for you to find out! haha

Now, where did the BL genre come from? The plot I shared above just explained the fantasy side of the story.

The amusing thing is, when Yuseong came back to the past, he saw windows with profiles beside every person... just like in game fantasy stories. He's somewhat in a game, but instead of the usual adventure game, he's like in a BL otome game. Hahah

It's so funny because the other trainees started questioning their feelings towards the MC whenever they had a positive interaction. hahaha

It's interesting because they all have different personalities. I've played my share of BL otome games in the past, and seeing it in a manhwa form felt nostalgic.

Among the possible MLs, I like Lee Sangrok the most. (You can check the previous photo I shared.) He's the cute type of person on the outside, but really savage inside. In the MC's previous life, Sangrok had gone MIA because he was bullied by other trainees from different groups. He's such a baby yandere... XD

I like Wonjoon as a character, too. He's the calm and the don't-know-don't-care type of person, but he's very talented when it comes to creating music.

Taewon and Sinwoo are the two main MLs, though... Despite wanting Sangrok to be up there with them, I can't blame Yuseong for being torn between these two.

Despite it being BL, the main story focuses on the MC's quest to achieve his dream. I've been a fan of some idol groups, and now, I'm into a Filipino group called SB19. I've been into them since February 2020.

It's truly inspiring to see how their past struggles and challenges are beginning to bear fruit. I can relate my favorite idol group's experiences to this manhwa's characters, making me enjoy the story even more.

We might not be able to go back to the past, but we should bear in mind that it's never too late to dream and strive to achieve it.

So, if you're into BL... or maybe even if not, but are interested in reading a different genre, then feel free to check this out!

I'll end this post here for now. Thanks a lot for reading, and see you around! (^^,)/

Although I don't read this genre, I find it interesting to see this here. I think the theme of changing age is good, but it's full of surprises for the protagonist, hahaha.

I share BL ones from time to time. It's not a common genre, but there's a tiny community of BL lovers here as well. hahah
Yes, the time travel made it more interesting. :D

As a BL reader, I am surprised that I didn't know about this one. The one I read always includes toxicity but this manhwa seems nice. Thanks for the amazing description. I will definitely read it some day.

It's not that popular since it's shounen ai. hahaha Most BL readers these days prefer searching stuff with the "yaoi" tag instead. I read softcore ones from time to time. I do read toxic stories as well. ^^

Understandable, I was wondering if you have read "Killing Stalking" it's too dark.
