One Piece Movie 6 Review [Eng/Esp]

This movie, actually made on my birth year is the sixth official movie of the One Piece Franchise.
I'm sure my followers already know about my One Piece Movie Review spree, so there's no need for me to continually recant it in each post but in summary I'm just making a review of every One Piece movie.
There's still a fair number to go, and I've gone through five already, so let's get to it.

One Piece: Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island.

Plot

Luffy and crew gets an invitation to the Omatsuri Island Resort.
As they reach there, they meet the Baron of the island and partakes in a series of challenges and tests. Bonds get tested, broken and shredded while the true colors of the island is brought to light.

I've seen some tweets about this being the scariest material of One Piece seen and at first I wondered at how that would be, but at just the first scenes I noticed the spooky feel.

1001178409.jpg

It's all about the line art and drawing.
This series use thin lines, dull colors and drab lighting.
It gives this depressing and scary vibe that other movies don't have, a way that it makes even a smile look unsure.

1001178778.jpg

Despite the line art, there's nothing else quite interesting and different in this movie.
Except from this fact, there's nothing else scary or creepy in the movie. Still, because of that fact, the movie is in fact scary and creepy.

1001178443.jpg

This movie was quite a bit less plot wise. It was sad straight forward story that was hidden well and the one character it did actually dwell on was Luffy.
He's suffering physically and emotionally is something scary, something you would always remember.

1001178444.jpg

Then we have the main antagonist Mr Baron. Honestly he was the scariest character of all. He had all the elements and more, then his reasoning and acts despite being born from loneliness was just bad.

1001178757.jpg

I guess that's why he was a really scary villain. Most of the antagonists we see are just bred from greed, wanting to be the richest or strongest or fastest or smartest and thus doing this or that. No real villain substance.
Yet this was a former captain that lost his crew to a storm and took it upon himself to do something about it.

1001178756.jpg

The final fight ended a bit abnormally, for once it wasn't Luffy who truly won, and he wouldn't have won without outside help.
Infact, he clearly would have lost and if the movie was a canon event it's quite clear that One Piece would have ended on this island.

1001178758.jpg

I feel a bit angry at the ending, the fact the crew don't remember anything nor know just how much their captain suffered for them.
Regardless all's well that end's well and the 1hr 30 minutes thriller ended. Peak as always.

Have you finished the series? It's very long I am too lazy to start. Maybe I will work it out by watching the movies. It's more fun to watch when the villain is powerful and scary because I like it lol. Anyway, excellent review! 🌷

The movies aren't canon.

Not based on confirmed events on the series.

I haven't really watched its older movies, tho I'm already following its anime series. The art style looks promising and nostalgic. That kind of character design was something I missed because I do like how stylistic it is. I don't know, but I prefer their scrawny art style rather than buff ones now—but both of them are nice anyway.

The plot of this movie seemed interesting—I mean, the way that it makes you root for the villain to win rather than Luffy seemed intriguing. The only ones I've watched so far are 3D2Y, Stampede, and Red, so one of these days, I'm gonna try binge watching the older OP movies.
