This was a refreshing watch. Set just before the Jaya Arc, and Skypiea saga at such we get to see the beautiful Robin and a more complete Straw Hat crew.

Not only that, this movie is a few steps apart from the animation of the rest, even going as far as giving us a 3D first person walk around view that gives the audience a whole new feel about the One Piece world.
Throughout my years of watching anime, this is the second show I've seen this look so good in.
The first was the latest Haikyuu movie _{(watch from 2:15)} and it was incredibly epic when it was done there because of the unexpectedness, feel and timing.

In this movie, it's done at the very beginning, bringing us the audience to the eyes of a character seemingly looking for something beforehand he sets eyes at Luffy's crew.
It brings a sense of mystery and raises your curiosity to the roof, it lasted for about 6-9 seconds but it felt like 30 and made me pay attention far longer.

This show also had a much more emotional move to me. Maybe in some sort of preparation for the Skypiea arc, this villain is one that rubbed me and Luffy the wrong way in the fact that he was an actual inhumane pirate.
One without ideals, or dreams or actual motives. Was just wicked for some cliché want for power, a Pirate that even hated the seas and a defector of the Navy.

Ever thought of a character that was made just to be hated?

Yet he was actually a strong pirate, also showcasing how much stronger Luffy's foes would be going forward, their fight was far longer than his previous movie enemies and far more enjoyable.

We also see Luffy actually raging and perhaps attempting to kill someone.
Needless to say it was a chilling battle of pirates.

The movie wasn't all chilling though as it had the usual One Piece comedy and gags that'll make you laugh out loud.
The dynamic between the Strawhats is something I always enjoy and is part of the reason why I love the anime in general so much✨

A wonderful plot, great animation and beautiful pace, story telling and characters. One Piece Movie 4 earns a stunning 10 stars from me and I urge all fans of One Piece to give it a try😍✨
