Estrenada en 1974, nos presenta el intento de conquista definitivo del ejército mikene, en formas mucho más aterradoras y bizarras que la serie de tv, y la derrota definitiva de Mazinger Z, justo como en la serie de tv aparece el relevo como el Gran Mazinger, pero está vez rescatando a un Mazinger apenas operativo y haciendo equipo con el para barrer con la oleada enemiga, dando paso a la siguiente serie centrada en el nuevo gigante de acero, la cual se estrenaria el año siguiente.

Released in 1974, it presents the Mycenaean army's final attempt at conquest, in ways much more terrifying and bizarre than the TV series, and the definitive defeat of Mazinger Z. Just as in the TV series, the Great Mazinger appears as the replacement, but this time rescuing a barely operational Mazinger and teaming up with him to sweep away the enemy wave, giving way to the next series focused on the new steel giant, which would premiere the following year.

La animación y el nivel de detalle están a un nivel altísimo, la violencia y crudeza fueron innovadoras en su época, supongo que por haber Sido estrenada en cines perdieron tomarse más libertades.

The animation and detail are top notch, and the violence and rawness were groundbreaking at the time. I guess because it was released in theaters, they didn't take as many liberties.

Años después fue adaptada como el ova mazin kaiser contra el general negro, y en un manga de la serie Shin Mazinger Zero, ya con una trama totalmente distinta.

Years later, it was adapted as the OVA Mazinger Kaiser vs. The Black General, and in a manga series called Shin Mazinger Zero, with a completely different plot.

Este mediometraje fue mi puerta de entrada al mundo de mecha, la vida niño con mi padre en un cine cerca de mi casa en Caracas, con un título diferente y adjuntándole un par de capítulos más, En aquellos años era común que en Latinoamérica surgiesen recopilaciones de varios episodios como películas creando tramas confusas y haciendo que ya de adultos tuviésemos que armar un rompecabezas inmenso para conocer la obra original, ya de adulto sigue siendo uno de mis títulos favoritos, tiendo a verlo cada cierto tiempo, ya que siento que lo prefiero sobre el final de la serie original y enlaza mejor con la temática de la serie siguiente Great Mazinger.

This medium-length film was my gateway into the world of mecha, watching it as a child with my father in a cinema near my home in Caracas, with a different title and a couple of extra chapters added. In those years, it was common in Latin America for compilations of several episodes to be released as films, creating confusing plots and forcing us as adults to piece together a huge puzzle to understand the original work. As an adult, it remains one of my favorite titles, and I tend to watch it from time to time, as I feel I prefer it to the ending of the original series and it ties in better with the theme of the following series, Great Mazinger.
