Hello, anime fans. We continue with more TOPs, and this time we're going to talk about five Isekai anime that I've seen this summer season. For those who don't know, Isekai is a demographic that is also a subgenre of fantasy. Isekai anime has become as popular today as fantasy anime, which is why we're here to tell you which Isekai anime are worth watching and which aren't, in my personal opinion. However, as it's a fairly exploited demographic, it's difficult to find something good to watch, as almost all the works are always the same old thing.
On this occasion, I will make an exception that I don't normally make in my TOP lists, which is to talk about sequels to anime that have already been broadcast in previous years. I will do this (with only two works) simply to complete this list of five names that you will decide whether or not you want to watch. What I say from here on out will be only my opinion. I would also like to remind you that I rate each anime on a scale of 1 to 10. I will start with the one with the lowest rating and end with the one with the highest rating. Los animes Isekai se han vuelto tan populares hoy en día como también sucede con los de fantasía y es por eso que estamos aquí, para decirte qué animes Isekai valen la pena ver y qué no, personalmente. Esto lo haré (solo con dos obras nomás) simplemente para completar esta lista de cinco nombres que, ya verán ustedes si querrán ver o no. Yo lo que diré de aquí en adelante será solo mi opinión. También les recuerdo que a cada anime le doy una calificación del 1 al 10. Empezaré hablando del que tiene menor calificación y terminaré con el que tiene la mayor calificación. Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra: World Conquest Starts with the Civilization of Ruin
Let's start with an Isekai anime that I found quite disappointing, even though I had fairly low expectations when I started watching it. A work that, according to some, had a lot of potential thanks to its story and characters, but the anime was not at all what many expected. Based on the light novel series of the same name written by Fefu Kazuno and illustrated by Jun, this animated adaptation was produced by Majo Film studio. The anime tells the story of Takuto, a young man who died of a serious illness and was reborn in the fantasy world of "Eternal Nations", his favorite video game. Both he and his demon maid, Atou, decide to live peacefully in this world.
What's worse than an Isekai anime telling the typical hero's journey story? An Isekai anime that imitates a famous work (also Isekai) by a dark ruler. Although I haven't seen it, I think that knowing about it is more than enough to know that this anime is literally a cheap copy of the famous work known as Overlord. Those who know or have seen this work will then know what this anime is about as well. Without a doubt, it is unfortunate to see such a predictable and unoriginal plot, to be honest. Although it seems that they take great care in developing their characters and everything else, the usual clichés, cheap humor, and lack of originality detract from the little good it has to offer.
While there are a few moments that are somewhat impactful, they are very few and far between compared to the number of absurd scenes and the strange mix of humor, gore, and what is supposed to be suspense at the end. I admire their creativity in trying to entertain the viewer, but it's disappointing to see predefined roles and very little action or meaning in one moment after another. In terms of audiovisuals, it's definitely the worst of all. Whether it's the character design, the lack of fluidity in the animation, the lack of detail, or the use of simple visual effects. The sound effects and soundtrack didn't even catch my attention. In short, this is an Isekai anime that promised something different but ended up giving us something we already knew.
Personally, I give it a rating of 6.5/10 in terms of the Isekai demographic.

Empecemos con un anime Isekai bastante decepcionante, a mí parecer, aún teniendo mis expectativas bastante bajas desde que empecé a verla en emisión. Una obra que -según algunos- tenía mucho potencial gracias a su historia y personajes, pero que su anime no fue para nada lo que muchos esperaban. Basada en la serie de novelas ligeras homónimas escritas por Fefu Kazuno e ilustradas por Jun, esta adaptación animada fue producida por el estudio Majo Film. El anime nos cuenta la historia de Takuto, un joven que murió de una enfermedad grave y renació en el mundo fantástico de “Eternal Nations”, su videojuego favorito. ¿Qué es peor que un anime Isekai relatando la típica historia del camino del héroe? Un anime Isekai que imita una famosa obra (también Isekai) de un gobernante oscuro. Si bien no la he visto, creo que con conocerla es más que suficiente como para saber que este anime es literalmente una copia barata de la famosa obra conocida como Overlord. Los que conozcan o hayan visto esta obra sabrán entonces de qué trata este anime también. Sin duda alguna, es lamentable ver una trama tan predecible y poco original, la verdad. Si bien pareciera que se esmeran en desarrollar a sus personajes y toda la cosa, los clichés de siempre, el humor barato y la falta de originalidad que tiene le resta valor y atención a lo poco bueno que ofrece.
Si bien hay uno que otro momento que impacta un poco, son muy escasos en comparación con la cantidad de escenas absurdas y la mezcla extraña de humor, gore y lo que se supone que es suspenso al final. Admiro la creatividad que tienen para intentar entretener al espectador, pero decepciona ver roles predefinidos y muy poca acción o sentido en un momento tras otro. En cuanto a lo audiovisual sería lo peor de todo, definitivamente. Ya sea por el diseño de los personajes, la poca fluidez en su animación, la falta de detalles y el uso de efectos visuales simples. Sus efectos de sonido y banda sonora tampoco me llamaron la atención, siquiera. En fin, este es un anime Isekai que prometía algo diferente, pero que terminó dándonos algo que ya se conocía.
Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 6.5/10 en lo que respecta a la demografía Isekai.

I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability (Season 2)
Let's talk now about another generic Isekai anime that, to no one's surprise, returned this year with a second season full of adventure, action, magic, and lots of fanservice. This is an anime that I watched since it aired last year and found quite entertaining. Based on the light novel series of the same name written by Kenkyo na Circle and illustrated by Neru, this animated adaptation was produced by the studio Tsumugi Akita Animation Lab. This second season continues the story of Loyd, the seventh prince of the Kingdom of Saloum, who is actually a sorcerer who was reincarnated after being killed in his previous life.
Surely some of you reading this know or have seen this anime. And it's not surprising, considering how relatively popular it became at the time because of what it offered. No, by this I don't mean a unique fantasy story or well-developed characters that are still remembered today. What I mean is what people seem to like a lot nowadays: action, comedy, and lots of fanservice. That's right, this anime is the embodiment of the above, as it has nothing original or authentic beyond the audiovisual. Battle after battle, hypersexualized female characters, and humor so absurd and childish that it's embarrassing. Obviously, I'm not saying it's a bad anime.
Personally, I admit, almost embarrassingly, that I was quite entertained by both the first season and this second one. I don't entirely agree with what many people think, that "if a work is entertaining, then it means it's good", but in this case, I do agree that its abundance of entertainment compensates a little for its lack of originality. In terms of audiovisuals, this is another of its strengths, showing us remarkable quality. The character design, bright color palette, visual effects, and animation style are all quite pleasing. Sure, I have my complaints about the effeminate design of the protagonist, but that's a minor issue. The sound effects and soundtrack are top-notch, especially the opening. In short, this anime is the most generic and entertaining you'll find among many Isekai.
Personally, I give it a rating of 8/10 when it comes to the Isekai demographic.

Este es un anime que vi desde su emisión el año pasado y que me entretuvo bastante. Basada en la serie de novelas ligeras homónimas escritas por Kenkyo na Circle e ilustradas por Neru, esta adaptación animada fue producida por el estudio Tsumugi Akita Animation Lab. Esta segunda temporada da continuación con la historia de Loyd, el séptimo príncipe del Reino de Saloum, quien en realidad es un hechicero que reencarnó después de haber sido asesinado en su anterior vida.
Seguramente habrá alguno de los que me leen que conozcan o hayan visto este anime. Y no es de sorprenderse teniendo en cuenta lo relativamente popular que se volvió en su momento por lo que este ofrecía. No, con esto no me refiero a una historia fantástica única en su estilo o personajes bien desarrollados que al día de hoy se siguen recordando. A lo que me refiero es a lo que parece gustarle mucho a la gente hoy en día: acción, comedia y mucho fanservice. Así es, este anime es la representación de lo anteriormente dicho ya que no posee nada original o auténtico, más allá de lo audiovisual. Batalla tras batalla, personajes femeninos hipersexualizados y un humor tan absurdo e infantil que da hasta pena ajena. Obviamente, con esto no estoy diciendo que sea un mal anime.
En lo personal, admito de una manera casi vergonzosa que me entretuvo bastante tanto en su primera temporada como en esta segunda también. No estoy del todo de acuerdo con lo que muchos piensan de que “si una obra es entretenida entonces significa que es buena”, pero en este caso concuerdo con que lo que le sobra de entretenimiento compensa un poco lo que le falta de originalidad. En cuanto a lo audiovisual, es otro de sus puntos fuertes al mostrarnos una calidad destacable. Tanto el diseño de los personajes como la paleta de colores brillantes, los efectos visuales y el estilo de animación son bastante agradables. Claro, tengo mis quejas con el diseño afeminado del protagonista, pero eso es lo de menos. Sus efectos de sonido y banda sonora son de lo mejor, sobre todo su opening. En resumen, este anime es lo más genérico y entretenido que encontrarás entre muchos Isekai.
Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 8/10 en lo que respecta a la demografía Isekai.

We continue with another Isekai about a wizard, but this time without any fan service or absurd humor. This is an anime that, although it has everything it takes to be just another generic work, manages to stand out a little from the rest thanks to its excellent development. Based on the light novel series of the same name written by Tadashi Kudou and illustrated by Hana Amano, this animated adaptation was produced by Typhoon Graphics and Wonderland. This anime tells the story of Ryō, a boy who died and was reincarnated in a fantasy world called Phi. Our protagonist decides to live a quiet life while learning to use water magic. After living alone for years in a cabin in the middle of the forest, he decides to go on a journey with an adventurer he has just met.
As you have just read, this anime is exactly as I have described it. With nothing else noteworthy in its plot and characters, this work seems to meet all the requirements to be another generic Isekai among many. Starting with its protagonist, who, apart from having eternal youth, has a great talent for water magic and is trained for years by an ancestral spirit. There is no other protagonist more generically powerful than Ryō (apart from Loyd), to be honest. Otherwise, there are a few secondary characters who try to stand out from the crowd, but they always end up overshadowed by the protagonist, as expected. The story also feels quite predictable, with the only appeal being the battles and unmissable action scenes.
Despite all this, I enjoyed watching this anime, not only because it is entertaining, but also because it seems to have been made with great care and dedication. Definitely, what I loved most about this Isekai is its audiovisual aspect. From the beginning, it is clear that the studio in charge made an effort to make good use of the budget invested in this adaptation. The fluidity of the animation, the character designs, the varied color palette, the visual effects, the transitions, and the level of detail are excellent. Of course, this is not always the case, as there are some episodes that are disappointing, but between one action scene and another, we notice high peaks of quality that are even striking. The sound effects are also pleasant, but I like the soundtrack better, especially its catchy opening theme. Here's another generic Isekai anime to watch.

Este es un anime que, si bien tiene todo para ser una obra genérica más del montón, consigue destacar un poco de los demás por su excelente desarrollo. Basada en la serie de novelas ligeras homónimas escritas por Tadashi Kudou e ilustradas por Hana Amano, esta adaptación animada fue producida por Typhoon Graphics y Wonderland. Este anime nos cuenta la historia de Ryō, un chico que murió y reencarnó en un mundo fantástico llamado Phi. No hay otro protagonista más genéricamente poderoso que Ryō (aparte de Loyd), la verdad. De resto, hay uno que otro personaje secundario que intenta destacar de entre todos, pero siempre terminan opacados por el protagonista, como era de esperarse. La historia también se siente bastante predecible, con el único atractivo que tiene que son las batallas y las escenas de acción imperdibles.
A pesar de todo esto, me gustó ver este anime, no solo por lo entretenido que es, sino porque parece haberse hecho con mucho esmero y dedicación. Definitivamente, lo que más me encantó de este Isekai es su aspecto audiovisual. Desde el principio nos muestran claramente que el estudio a cargo se esforzó en utilizar bien el presupuesto invertido para dicha adaptación. Let's talk about one of the best Isekai anime I've seen this summer season. Despite having many clichés and an absurdly funny plot, its use of irony as a tool to hook the audience is fantastic. Based on the web novel series written by Ryō Hiromatsu, this animated adaptation was produced by White Fox studio (the same studio that animated Re:Zero, the best Isekai of all time). The anime tells the story of Shigeru Yoshioka, an elderly salaryman with a horrible appearance. This man loses faith in humanity after being falsely accused, losing his job, and becoming seriously indebted. One night, he sees an invitation to another world on his computer screen and excitedly accepts, but with certain conditions.
After watching the first episode, it was quite easy for me to get hooked on this anime from start to finish. Apart from having a plot that is appealing because of how absurd and authentic it is, this work offers a good variety of characters, stories, and moments that are among the most entertaining you will find in an Isekai today. Personally, I really admire works that take the risk of straying from the typical "hero's journey" story to give us unique and unforgettable protagonists. In this case, it's impossible to do so with Shigeru, a character who is literally an "absolute god" in this fantasy world, but who also has an appearance that is downright funny. To say anything about his appearance is to fall into mockery, which I will not do as I greatly admire this character.
But best of all, here the protagonist is not the one who always gets all the credit (at least not directly), as both his team and the occasional antagonist take center stage in certain episodes, which guarantees the development that is so sought after among so many generic works today. En este caso, es imposible hacerlo con Shigeru, un personaje que es, literalmente, un “dios absoluto” en este mundo fantástico, pero que también tiene una apariencia que es hasta graciosa. Decir algo de su apariencia es caer en la burla, lo cual no haré ya que admiro mucho a este personaje.
Pero lo mejor de todo es que aquí el protagonista no es el que se lleva todo el mérito siempre (al menos no directamente), ya que tanto su equipo como uno que otro antagonista toman el protagonismo en ciertos episodios, lo cual garantiza ese desarrollo que tanto se busca entre tantas obras genéricas de hoy en día. Finally, let's talk about the fourth season of an Isekai anime that I've been following for several years now. Since its first unforgettable season, this work has positioned itself as one of the best Isekai anime I have ever seen. Based on the light novel series of the same name written by Aneko Yusagi and illustrated by Miami Seira, this animated adaptation was produced by Kinema Citrus studio. The anime tells the story of Naofumi Iwatani, a young man who was summoned out of nowhere to a fantasy world to become one of the four heroes of legend and thus save the world from a great catastrophe. However, that's not all, as he will also have to suffer betrayal, rejection, and hatred from many people in this world.
Just like Naofumi's life, this anime has had its ups and downs over the past five years. Of course, some of these opinions are based on a somewhat exaggerated idea of what they believe this work deserves. Personally, this anime is not for those looking for pure action and other clichés of all Isekai.
What this anime does have—and something I admire greatly—is the excellent development of each of its characters. There are arcs with entire episodes dedicated to the life and history of each character and how they grow and improve, all to reach a grand finale. And while there are a few endings that don't quite convince me, I won't deny that this story is well worth knowing. As for its audiovisual aspect, I don't know much about the work of the studio in charge outside of this work, but I won't deny that they have potential. The quality is maintained at a high standard in terms of character design, color palette, fluidity, details, and visual effects. There are also sound effects and a soundtrack that sound pretty good. Here you have an Isekai anime that is worth watching, if you have the time, of course.

Lo que sí tiene este anime -y es algo que admiro bastante- es el excelente desarrollo que le dan a cada uno de sus personajes. Existen arcos con episodios enteros dedicados a la vida y la historia de cada personaje y cómo éste crece y mejora, todo para llegar a un gran fin. Y si bien hay uno que otro desenlace que no me termina de convencer, no voy a negar que esta historia vale bastante la pena conocerla. En cuanto a su aspecto audiovisual, no conozco mucho sobre el trabajo del estudio a cargo fuera de esta obra, pero no voy a negar que tienen su potencial. La calidad se mantiene en un alto estándar tanto en el diseño de los personajes, la paleta de colores, la fluidez, los detalles y los efectos visuales. También están sus efectos de sonido y su banda sonora que suenan bastante bien. Aquí tienen un anime Isekai que vale la pena ver, si tienen tiempo, claro.

Para eso mismo que dice usted que hago estos posts, intento hacer TOPs de diferentes tipos y géneros de animes para así no privar al público con lo mismo de siempre y tener más variedad. Pero bueno, para variedad es que tengo las reseñas convencionales.

I really loved the review! It’s a shame the animation didn’t live up to the story and I was actually looking forward to watching it, but now I will lower my expectations a bit 😅
Hehehe, there are exceptions, like Re:Zero for example, which I barely mentioned here, but which I have talked about more than enough in previous posts. With that anime you should expect to be surprised by its story, plot, characters, everything. Not for nothing do I call it the best Isekai I've ever seen.
