THE DREAM AND THE WHISPERER

Real talk? We are so much stronger than our problems, keep that at the back of your mind. Start every day with the mindset of a winner because you will win;

That night, the weight of life pressed heavier than usual.
Bills unpaid, dreams delayed, a future that looked like smoke drifting into nothingness... Hmmm...
I lay supine on my bed staring at the ceiling, but the ceiling looked back at me like a tunnel with no end.

Thoughts stormed my mind like wild winds.
Am I enough?
Am I failing?
Will things ever change?
Slowly, I drifted into sleep.

Then I had a dream…
I was running through a street with no lights, only shadows chasing me. Laughter echoed, sharp and ugly. A faceless figure stretched out its hands, clawing at me, whispering:
“You will never rise! You will never become!”

I tried to scream, but no sound came. My chest tightened, my feet froze... The figure lunged...

And then, warmth.
I blinked, and suddenly the darkness flee. The dream vanished. I woke up trembling, only to see my mother sitting quietly beside me, her hand resting on mine.

She looked at me with the gentleness of a cool morning breaking a long, scary night and said:
“Child, do you know why you feel so heavy? It’s because you count your fears more than your blessings. You water your worries but starve your gratitude. Even the tallest tree once began as a small seed. Celebrate your little beginnings, for they are the footprints of God’s greater works.”

Her words wrapped around me like a blanket. I felt my tears soften.
“Mom… what if I fail?” I whispered.

She smiled. “Even failure is a teacher. Even cracks let the light in. Put God first, and what looks like the end will only be a bend toward something greater.”

That night, I learned: Gratitude opens the windows of heaven. Hope is born in the smallest thanks. And no matter how dark the dream, dawn will still come.
