Sport Betting: Thank God I ended it.
Till today I still thank God for helping me to end sports betting because it almost ended my life. Addiction is one of the evils that can happen to anyone. People are addicted to many things but in my case, I was addicted to sports betting.
This might sound strange to some since I am a lady and many people think that sports betting is mainly for men. I know the majority of people who bet are men, but women also engage in sports betting.
I was introduced to gambling by a close friend of mine. At first, I engaged in it for fun and not to make money from it. After a long time, it degenerated into an avenue to make money from. As a result of this, I lost so much money and in a bid to recover, I keep losing more.
It became dangerous when I borrowed to bet. Every penny that entered my account was not used for anything but betting. Every other project was paused, and the money was pushed into betting. It got so bad that it affected my emotions. I drifted into constant sadness and withdrawal. I usually get lost in thought whenever I am alone or with people.
Moreover, at some point, I contemplated suicide whenever I lost money. At this point, I realised that I was dying gradually. I couldn't eat well, and I couldn't get a new dress for myself. I couldn't pay some of my bills. My house rent was affected.
When I discovered this, I suddenly ended it all. I made a decision never to get myself involved in anything sport Betting. I closed my account on all betting sites, I uninstalled those apps, and in a short while, my life went back to normal. I became happy and restored.
Today, when I look back at those years, I regret making such a decision to start sports betting and how it destroyed my life. It doesn't matter how far you've gone into any addiction. You can get out of it. It's just a decision to end it. You can end it and get your life back on track. Addiction is a distraction and a timely killer.
I am calling on @newbreed, @ezemann, and @giftakpan to participate and share their thoughts on this week's topic.

Happy New year 🎊🎊

Wow this is a nice one,is really a good thing as you stopped bet because you would have entered into serious dept
I was indebted however until I stopped it that I was able to pay off
Thank God you have stopped it at least you are not in depth now
When I first started diving into different platforms and trying to figure out what actually matters versus what’s just hype, I bookmarked a few resources that helped me make sense of things. One of those gave me some practical context around the MelBet bookmaker and what stood out to me beyond just the basic odds and signup offers. I found this article genuinely useful because it tied some of the concepts back to things I’d actually noticed myself. I’m not pushing anything — it just helped me think through how different features affect my own betting choices. If you’re also trying to expand your perspective outside the usual chatter, it might be worth a quick look. Anyway, would love to hear what others here have personally found most helpful!
