Hello Chess players on Hive,

Earlier today, we played the sixth round of the weekly Saturday HiveChess Tournament. We had a total of 18 players who clicked to join the event and about 17 players who actually played a game. We had a lot of players who were missing in action this weekend.

It was a nice tournament regardless of the numbers. IM @maestroask emerged champion again this week with a perfect 100% win rate. We also had of the Strange twins making a podium finish, @dakods in second place. Finishing third was no stranger to the podium @tangibleay.

We want to welcome @suisver who finally played a Hivechess tournament for the first time. Alongside was his mom @cositav making her first appearance too. Welcome to Hivechess! Also a warm welcome back to @stranger27!

Tournament Details

1. We play every Saturday at 15:00 GMT

2. We play on an open-source chess application, www.lichess.org

3. To start up on Lichess, kindly read @samostically's Introduction to Lichess Platform

4. Register with your Lichess username in the comment section if your name is not on the mention list.

5. Total play time is 1 hour and 10 minutes. Time control for the tournament varies with each round.

6. Feel free to write about your tournament experience and post the link in the comment. Quality posts will get curated. Alternatively, you can post on our Discord channel.

7. Join our Team Page on Lichess, to play our team events.
