A police officer arrived at a bus stop where a group fight had broken out against a single man. He immediately questioned the people around him.
— What happened here?
— It's his fault!
— But this man is the one who's all beaten up. You're the ones who seem most guilty of lynching him.
— He deserved the beating for his bad joke.
— All this beating for a joke?! You're really going to be in trouble for this! Explain everything better before my colleagues arrive and we take you to the police station!
— We were all waiting for the bus together, he arrived looking sick, coughing like crazy, and as soon as he finished, he pulled out a tape recorder and said: “Day 3. The cure isn't working, airborne transmission confirmed, my time is running out, I need to find a cure because this thing will kill me on the fourth day.” When we were alarmed, screaming, and crying, he jumped in with a smile to say it was a joke video for his social media channel!

Un policía llegó a una parada de autobús en donde había ocurrido una pelea grupal contra un solo hombre. Interrogó de inmediato a la gente.
— ¿Qué sucedió aquí?
— ¡Es culpa de él!
— Pero, este señor es el que está todo golpeado. Ustedes son los que parecen más culpables de haberlo linchado.
— Él se ganó la paliza con su mal chiste.
— ¡¿Toda esta paliza por un chiste?! ¡Ustedes sí que van a tener problemas con esto! ¡Expliquen mejor todo antes de que lleguen mis compañeros y los llevemos a la estación de policía!
— Estamos esperando el autobús todos juntos, él llega con mal aspecto, tosiendo como loco, y al momento de terminar saca una grabadora y dijo: “Día 3. La cura no funciona, se confirma contagio por aire, se me acaba el tiempo, necesito hallar la cura porque esta cosa me matará al cuarto día”. Cuando nos alarmamos, gritamos y lloramos, ¡él saltó con una sonrisa a decir que era un chiste en vídeo para su canal de redes sociales!

Your right, the moment he faked a day three infection log, the crowd reaction felt earned in your dark setup. As a numbers brain, all I see is a terrible risk to reward ratio, and the prank' blew up exactly how it should. Taht twist lands sharp but also makes me wince, like reality TV gone feral :)
The most frightening thing about this joke is that I've read police reports of similar incidents in different parts of the world.
Content creators might find it funny, but it causes a level of panic that's incredibly unpleasant.
I shouldn't justify people's violent reaction against the prankster (for legal reasons), but I can understand that reaction, and I think I would react the same way.
Vi un par de casos así, en uno se le acerca un grandullón a un anciano pequeño, como si fuese a asaltarlo, pero el anciano saco un cuchillo y el sujeto tuvo que correr.
El mayor susto del chiste es que he leído reportes policiales de eventos como estos en distintas partes del mundo.
A los creadores de contenido les puede parecer gracioso, pero ocasionan un pánico que es demasiado desagradable.
No debo justificar la reacción violenta de las personas contra el bromista (por cuestiones legales), pero puedo entender esa reacción y creo que yo reaccionaría de la misma manera.
Varios casos han terminado en incidentes poco graciosos, por eso hoy día muchas son situaciones actuadas.
Puede resultar más seguro hacer las cosas con actores, en lugar de darle sustos a gente en la calle, porque uno nunca sabe con qué humor amaneció la gente ese día.
Aunque, si lo piensas, tiene su toque creativo... pero no para una parada de autobús en plena pandemia imaginaria.
Me imagino las caras de todos cuando sacó la grabadora.
Definitivamente, no es el mejor lugar para probar material de comedia 😂

Creativo de seguro que puede ser, pero si hace una broma de tan mal gusto, puede que la reacción de la gente no sea de risa, sino de furia.
Con esto de la comedia callejera se han presentado casos reales de problemas, y en algunos casos hay comediantes prefieren escenificar toda la broma contratando actores. Para evitar el riesgo de que los ataquen o que la víctima de la broma sufra desmayo, infarto o alguna lesión.
