Wednesday Walk the Harbor Walk

Wednesday Walk the Harbor Walk

An update on my toe, it swelled up and a good part of my foot was red yesterday and moving it even a little was painful, so I decided to get it checked out

good news is its not broken

but I must be gettigngolder, I have broken fingers and toes before and sure it was painful but I managed to do more than I can this time, after a nights sleep after taking some tylenol last night I woke up feeling it wads a lot better,

Till I got out of bed, step one was fine but by about step 10 my foot was letting me know it didnt want to play this game today,so popped a couple of ibuprofen which hopefully will bring down some of the swelling, and after I finish updating this post and sharing it, most likely will head off my Computer and onto the couch with my foot elevated, as sitting here at my desk it is starting to throb away

So apologies unles it feels a bit better later today I will be staying off the computer and restign with foot elevated so may not be visiting all the posts this week

This post if for Wednesday walk challenge
Any questions about the challenge read the guide at the Bottom of the post ;)

The New Bedford Harbor Walk sits atop the New Bedford Hurricane Barrier on East Rodney French Boulevard. The hurricane barrier is said to be the longest in the world, it was built in the 1960s

The Harbor Walk begins next to the East Rodney French Boulevard boat ramp, stretching about three-quarters of a mile to its northern end at Gifford Street. Here, the harbor walk extends along the inside of the hurricane barrier past Palmers Island. At night, the walkway is lined with more than 160 light fixtures, so this is a nice spot for a stroll in the evening, or as I do in the early morning

As you can see from the first shot the water is on one side and the streets and houses on the right

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.

This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines

Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.

Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.

Try and get a few shots not just one

Add a bit of a write up about where you walked

Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week

You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss

Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .

Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.

I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules

I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.

I hope a few of you may find this an interesting challenge and decide to join in.

unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

Good morning, dear friend @tattoodjay

I'm so sorry about what happened to your finger. I'm glad it wasn't a fracture. Rest your foot.

Get well soon.

The most important thing is that your foot gets better and stops swelling, so you need to take good care of yourself!!! I hope you get better soon. Those photos are beautiful; I always love bridges and dreamy colours. Thank you for that!!

This area always reminds me a bit of the path we have in the town where I used to live. Instead of following the ocean or the harbor, it follows the river, but it is quite long and has a nice path and a railing like this one does. Take care of yourself and I hope your toe gets better soon!

Ouch, sorry to hear about your foot—glad it’s not broken though! Hope the swelling goes down soon and that you get some well-deserved rest. Despite the discomfort, your Harbor Walk photos are stunning as always. That early morning light and the peaceful views really shine through! 🌅🚶‍♂️📸

This looks like a great place for a walk. I can almost taste the fresh sea air. Its cool how there are no other people in sight, it gives a kind of eerie vibe to the place. I wonder, is there actually no one around at that time or do you edit them out?

Ah another walk along the pier with an old friend. Held me over for 5 years of not sailing during Covid for sure.

The good news is captain bought a new boat and we are sailing again.

Sorry to hear about your toe! Wisdom will guide us through another injury but I find the body doesn’t repair itself as well as it did in our immortal 20s so take care.

A beautiful way to transcend the everyday.
This place, seemingly unremarkable to many, now takes on artistic value thanks to these masterful photographs!

The images are very beautiful and are a permanent invitation to be there.
Regarding the injury he has in his finger, the best option is rest. In places where we have bones and hurt ourselves, the healthiest thing is medical rest.
So I wish myself a speedy recovery and take care of yourself because health is the most important thing we have.
Happy Wednesday.
Cheers and greetings.
