Wednesday Walk Random Details at Haskell gardens

Wednesday Walk Random Details at Haskell gardens

This post if for Wednesday walk challenge And Make me Smile Collaboration challenge, initially our collaboration was once a month but due to the popularity of it we have decided to make the collab a weekly thing :)

Any questions about the challenge read the guide at the Bottom of the post ;)

I guess its a good thing I took a bunch of photos on my visit to Haskell gardens last week, as although I am feeling a little better, still have days where I feel totally drained, and on the days I had spare time and could have got out for a walk this past week it was rainy, so for this weeks post I am sharing a few more shots taken at the Haskell gardens

Starting with this cool piece in the open green area a cool globe with a rusty petina

Weekly giveaway of shares

This week I am sending to the following who joined Wednesday Walk, for this week I did a random draw and the following each received some Hive @borbolet, @wisejg, @coolmidwestguy, @grocko and @technicalside

And @elizacheng will send to @tatdt

As @elizacheng and I collaborated with our Wednesday Walk and Make me Smile Challenges

And one person is randomly drawn who joins both challenges to receive one Hive from me and this week it is @TBA

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.

This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines

Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.

Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.

Try and get a few shots not just one

Add a bit of a write up about where you walked

Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week

You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss

Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .

Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.

I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules

I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.

Make me Smile Collaboration

As I mentioned above Wednesday Walk is collaborating with the [Make Me Smile] hosted by @elizacheng,

Here are the rules for her challenge

Your post can be writing, singing, video, poem, drawing, photography etc.... the most important part is your post Make me" smile, Remember, the ME is whoever read/view/listen to your post and this includes YOURSELF.
b. Your content must be ORIGINAL CONTENT
c. Please include at least 50 Words in your post

I hope a few of you may find this an interesting challenge and decide to join in.

unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

The rusty sphere looks very interesting. I wondered what it was used for before it became like this.

I suspect some artist made it for a piec eof art and that it did not have any previous purpose but I could well be wrong

A tap on the side of a building is amazing! I didn't immediately realise it was a tap, not a butterfly sculpture. I love this kind of solution, beautiful and functional.

I love random things like this. We have a brick ball sculpture here but cannot find the reason behind it. Perhaps they just build a big ball and let everyone's imagination run riot!

Good to hear you took many photographs when you visited this place indeed.
A shame it did rain when you felt a bit better.
Hope it keeps improving @tattoodjay 😊

The shots of the rusty ball are just awesome! Love especially the first one. Great work.

Even though busy busy, I managed to post a walk today:
We left officially Scotland. I walked last Sunday around an old castle and it’s grounds.
You find it here: 🏰 “ROCKINGHAM CASTLE ESTATE FROM 1066” - Rockingham, Market Harborough UK 🇬🇧 ~ Wednesday Walk

Have a wonderful Wednesday 👋🏻😊
Take care!

Oh wow, that butterfly tap is so unique! I really dig it! The sphere is pretty cool too. I makes you wonder if it has just rusted over time or they placed it like that to give you the feel that it is more established than it really is. I can see the artist going for that look.

Ohh yeah makes me want to change the two taps i have outside out house willl have to look for cool ones

thats an interesting thought about the globe was it rusted intentional as it was made or allowed to age over time, I kind of suspect the first myself

That's kind of the impression I get from it too. There are some ares that seems to be emphasized which leads me to believe it was intentional.

Fun details from Haskell gardens. I always like the black and white shots of off season green houses. The globe and the faucet are also very cool 👍

It makes sense that you still have days where you still feel drained. Maybe it's a good idea to just take it easy, one day at a time...as I get the impression that is what you are doing!

I agree with you... that rusty globe you found is really unique. Normally I would expect to see the continents, or "land area" being solid...where this time it's the other way around, the ocean is solid while the continents are formed by the "open spaces"... Does that make sense what I'm saying...?

I won't be publishing a post this week... Had a hectic week and just didn't have enough time to prepare something decent in time...lol. I should be able to publish again next week.

Great pictures as always, I too find the sphere really cool and if I could find a tap like that butterfly one, I would buy it immediately. Wishing you a quick recovery and lots of energy so you can bring us more cool pictures.
Thank you for sharing and do enjoy your day/night :}
