Wednesday Walk: Autumn Leaves
These are the photos of the tree in front of the house, three and a half weeks ago, right before I got sick. I wanted to share with @elizabethbit, @silvertop, and @tattoodjay how its colors compare to the other trees around here.
I remember back when it was just a twig. It would drop its leaves without any color change.
But now... Look at it!
Shades of orange and even a few reds! Not exactly a fiery blaze, but definitely better than nothing!
Yesterday, on my first day out of the house, I had to check on the tree again.
And guess what?
Yup, it is official!
I've got the only tree on the block that actually turns in autumn and winter!
Plus, the only house around with a front yard carpeted in fallen leaves!

That is a pretty tree, too bad the leaves are all falling so fast! I don't think we have any that turn locally here. I think at the parks there are some, but I don't head over that way too much anymore. Too much traffic...

It started turning in October. And you are right. The leaves don't stay on the tree for long once they turn yellow.
I won't return to work for the rest of this week. I only went Monday and Tuesday to take care of important stuff. I feel I have to rest.
