Stuff from my reality

On 27 February I shared here on Hive a post with a short video I uploaded to YouTube, which I kept hidden for about 24 hours so that only those who accessed it through its link from this Blockchain could see it. I should point out that I do this with all the videos I publish there, since my YouTube channel was never planned—it came about because I often couldn’t upload videos to 3Speak, and so it gradually grew with these small creations, which are very basic, as I currently have no other way of making them.

_{By the way, I want to write about the discovery I mention in that video. Something that might lead me to what I’m looking for—or perhaps not, that remains to be seen 😂. If you haven't seen that video, you'll have to go there to understand. But the thing is, Antonio is my Spanish great-great-grandfather, and we've been searching for months for his baptismal record, which doesn't appear in his supposed hometown... I saw a dog named Antonio and then a temple. That's why I'm so surprised. Do you think I should follow those signs?}

Not long ago someone suggested I give my YouTube channel a name, to add a bit of personality… and I did. But I must make another clarification: I cannot monetise my channel, nor am I interested. Here in Cuba that is impossible, unless you hand the channel over to someone abroad to manage it for you. So, for now, that is not in my plans—just as having a YouTube channel never was.

Anyway, I was left with a few clips from the videos I recorded that day, and I wanted to share them in this post.

I also want to tell my followers, and anyone who happens to pass by—whether brought by the wind or by mere coincidence (which I know doesn’t exist)—that I am having serious difficulties publishing and interacting here on Hive because of the constant power cuts we are experiencing. To make matters worse, the place where I live suffers from two outages at once, because the 4G disappears completely. So my only option is to wait until 5 in the afternoon, and from the roof of my house I manage to get a faint signal.

Perhaps because at that hour there are fewer people around, together with the locals, making use of the scarce coverage that reaches us. In other cases I wake up in the early hours, upload posts and try to read a few, because I have always liked keeping up with what the creators I follow are doing and discovering new talents 😁. I cannot deny that this is frustrating, because at that hour I am not at my best, and I cannot stay up late every day as the tiredness eventually takes its toll.

I need to adjust my schedule more. Honestly, I feel lost. At times I don’t even know what day it is, or what time it is… I am trying to bring order to my surroundings, in the house, in the garden, and I go out cycling to organise my thoughts…

I'm not sure if this post fits in with the Wednesday Walks community, as I spent most of the time cycling. Of course, there were moments when I walked and looked up at the sky, as you can see in the video.

Ah... I've just received breaking news that the national electricity grid has gone down. I'm not going to tell you what I've been through to publish this post.
