Clearing My Mind One Random Thought At A Time

Hey! ✨

When living in a big city, it is hard to find a place to saunter, to immerse myself in the cool breeze and smell of the ground.

Everyone is on to something- running, rushing, no stopping or slowing down- well, that is what I observed. 😶

I am drowned in thoughts,just thoughts- positives and negatives. But I am happy to say that positivity is winning in my head. ☺️ A lot of ideas, projects, and incoming opportunities. (LEZZGO!)

Yeah, the mind can run miles, but the body? I do not think so. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I am not that teenager who is full of energy that can stay up late and wake up for a 7 AM class. It is different now~😅

One of the things that makes me sane is just walking~ ☺️

Having an extra time for a walk or workout is now a luxury, haha. 🥲

Ahh~ looks at those trees. 🤩It just refreshes my eyes. And to be away from my computer and phone? Oh, I love it!

It is a bit drizzling, so I can smell the grass and ground. I can’t believe I am seeing at least 50 trees in the middle of a busy city.

This is the University of Santo Tomas- the oldest University in the Philippines, built in the year 1611. So not just the trees I am enjoying, but also the architecture.

And did you know, the Philippines was colonized for 333 years by Spaniards, and so, we have kind of similar-ish concepts like language, food, culture, and many more. 😊

Walking on this pathway, I noticed that the potted plants were well-maintained. I like the round bushes! Benches were on the side of the pathway for resting. 🌳✨

In front of me was an elegant fountain. Its design is a woman lifting an object that I was not sure of. On the sides were deer. I wonder what is the concept of the design

It must be something about the history of the place. Whatever it was, it added charm to the place. The sound of the water and the mist made the place cooler.

On the side of the fountain is a road used by cars. On the edge is for parking space neatly designed to keep the peaceful atmosphere. I was wondering if some of the people who left their cars here also want a little break, just like me. ☺️ People who just want a little escape from busy routines~

Before exiting the place, I wanted to walk a little farther just to see the end of this pathway. Along the way were worn-down grass patches. Maybe people take this spot for shortcuts and are absently minded when stepping on it. Maybe a simple sign with a nice reminder would help keep the grass growing.

I turned left and saw a white cat seated quietly on a concrete bench. It was not a surprise to see cats around here. A chubby one, probably well fed. The cat was calm, and its eyes were half closed. I did not want to disturb the cat, did not even call it out.

I just took a photo and walked on, letting the moment remain undisturbed. 😺

My walk ended with some photos of the surroundings and a much clearer mind. I felt like I unloaded some unused files in my head, hehe. 😁✨

What a nice time to breathe and be simple. Just what I exactly needed. 🌳
