A walk in the sun and rain and sun again

Welcome again on one of my #wednesdaywalk posts.
Since I have some symptomes of a fever I'm working from home this week.
I miss cycling to work, so I always try to go for a short walk during my lunch break.
When I decided to go out it was sunny, but already after a few minutes dark clouds gathered in the sky.

It started to drizzle a littlebit, so I decided to continue the walk in a local park. That would give me some shelter.

Despite the drizzle the sun was still doing it's best to get through the trees resulting in quite some nice views.

During my walk I noticed the sound of a woodpecker. And when I hear one I also want to spot it. It took me a few minutes, but I finally managet to spot it in a tree. I don't have a lot of zoom on my phone, but I think you can find it in the photo.

Because it has rained quite a lot in the past weeks the paths sometimes are very muddy like the one in the photo below.

In the middle of the park there is a brigde over the water. You can see it was still raining a bit.

The park is nice and green and the foliage gives a nice protection against the rain.

When I wanted to leave the park and head back home it started raining very hard. Since I didn't wear a jacket I decided to stay in the park for a little longer.

It was raining so hard that the rain started to get through the foliage, so I decided to take shelter under a tree.

And then, after waiting for about 15 minutes it stopped raining and I went back home. It's funny to see how quickly the sun returned.

And the dark clouds also disappeared.

I hope you enjoyed my #wednesdaywalk

Yes it was very quiet. Maybe because of the rain. Maybe more people did check the weather forecast 😃
But the schools summer holiday also started, so a lot of people are already on holiday.

Besides that I don't like people in my nature shots, so I sometimes wait until I'm alone.
There were other people in the park besides me. But not that many!

Thanks for reading my post!

I hope the fever will go away and you will feel good again to go to work. It is so cool you can hear and see a woodpecker... it's been ages since I saw one. You had a nice walk here, with a bit of rain that we really would need here in Spain (please, send a few drops ;) ) and that little bridge over the water is very nice. 🍀

It isn't that bad, but I don't want to infect colleagues before they go on holiday.
I just go to bed early. It will be over soon.
There are quite some woodpeckers in the parks over here. You just have to listen when they are drumming on the tree branches. Spotting them is more difficult since they can be high up in the trees.
I'm heading to Spain in the end of next week, so I can bring some rain with me.
Hmmm. On the other hand then I will have rain during my holiday too, so I'd better leave it at home 😀

Thanks for visiting my blog!
