The beginning of these posts was my My Life Just Hit a Brick Wall at High Velocity, on the Cusp of My 50th Birthday: Mid Life Crisis 101 post. I link that post because I want to give my readers some useful context for what I write in these posts.

Polish_20220714_121754649.jpg

Warm greetings all! 🙏 💚

I've mentioned here before that Hive is like a more-than-full-time job, or a way if life. All I know is that I love it and that it takes a lot of time. I haven't even begun to estimate how many hours per day that I spend doing my various Hive tasks. It's a lot! I set daily Hive goals for myself, and it helps immensely in getting all my assorted tasks done each day. It helps keep me focused. And with focus, I can accomplish much!

Polish_20220714_121754649.jpg

I led Ester in her last integral/yogic practice today before she left in the late morning. The Immersion ended last week, and with it there is another outflow of people. Fiona, Hannah, and Michael already left, Ester left today, and Jens is leaving tomorrow. I've experienced so many waves of people coming and going. So many. I know there is one new woman arriving on Christmas Eve.

Polish_20220714_121631044.jpg

IMG_20221221_094959944_HDR.jpg

Polish_20220714_121631044.jpg

I was intensely focused on doing Hive from about 5AM clear through to just about 2PM, aside from the time I took to make my superfood fire coffee and to lead Ester in our morning practice. Yeah, I have a lot of daily goals and tasks! The intense focus is paying off, however!

Polish_20220714_121754649.jpg

One of my multiple Hive tasks this morning was to write and publish my Index4Index Daily Inspired Motivation: Our Burning, Focused Desire Can Achieve Anything! post. I've gotten a lot more efficient and quicker creating those posts, which allows me to get more of my daily tasks and goals done.

Polish_20220714_121754649.jpg

I finished (for a short time at least) all of my Hive tasks by about 2PM ('finished' is a a very relative term), and devoted myself to working with Ano on the land the rest of the day. Although there were all sorts of smaller or or shorter tasks that we did, the majority of the time was spent on taking wheelbarrows of cinders from Ano's truck, down a trail, and then brining then to El Cóndor, to dump and spread out the cinders under what will be the new floor. El Cóndor is one of the older buildings, and was in desperate need of repair and and care. A lava-rock wall is built to hold in the cinder, and then wooden pallets go on top of that, and then the actual floor, which will be reclaimed pallet wood. We got a lot done and I got some great exercise too!

Polish_20220714_121754649.jpg

Once I was done working with Ano, I took a shower and made myself some food in the Landing, then headed back to the Flow House to dive back into my assorted Hive tasks, one of which was to write and publish this post.

Polish_20220714_121754649.jpg

OK dear friends, I must take my leave now, as I'm very sleepy, and I really want to sleep well tonight. I wish you all a glorious rest of your week!

Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! 😁🙏💚

Hive is like a more-than-full-time job

Indeed! I went to bed this morning feeling accomplished because I had zero notifications left, and I had managed to do the daily Heartbeat We Are Alive thingy, with commenting on all the Listnerd and RisingStar posts (which alone took me an hour - I need to get faster at that, and also learn some efficient way to see only the notices I want to see, so I can concentrate on those instead of spending time on clicking things away!) But when I woke up there was the stressful infinity sign again 😹 I'm using ecency, maybe other sites list the number of notifications even if they are above 100?

Holy moly do I understand! My experience is similar! I've been working to become faster and more efficient with everything I do on Hive. Getting through all my daily Hive tasks and goals though still takes a lot of time, and some days that is taken to a whole new level, when I have many things to do. I do comment moderation for @aliveandthriving using the Engage dapp, which shows all comments and mentions, and also has a lot of flexibility in how the data is returned. I think that would perhaps help a lot. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

I sometimes feel "worried" (which I should not) whenever #HiveEngage is down (such as right now), such that I would miss replying to comments that are close to getting past the payout time (7 days after such comments from other people on Hive got published) !INDEED. 🤔🤯🤯😅

It's !WEIRD though that about 1.5 days ago, #HiveEngage wasn't working so I simply tried to reply to comment notifications on #Ecency, such that half a day ago, I used #HiveEngage to reply to comments while #Ecency has having technical issues. 🤔🤯😆😅

There's no way to see posts and comments past payout time on #HiveEngage, unless they are bookmarked as they showed up on any feed on Hive Engage !INDEED. 🤔🤯🤓

Perhaps we should start creating a list of Hive dapps sorted from most interesting, which we will provide to @borniet when he finally has time to launch instances of (and fork) FOSS Hive apps. 🤯😎

That's why it's best to host a (24/7) node only when there is ample time to monitor it (and fix it when a problem arises). 🧘‍♂️

Sorry, but you didn't find a bonus treasure token today. Try again tomorrow...they're out there! Your random number was 0.8328839134710518, also viewable in the Discord server, #hbit-wusang-log channel. | tools | wallet | discord | community | daily <><

Check for bonus treasure tokens by entering your username at a block explorer A, explorer B, or take a look at your wallet.
There is a treasure chest of bitcoin sats hidden in Wusang: Isle of Blaq. Happy treasure hunting! 😃 Read about Hivebits (HBIT) or read the story of Wusang: Isle of Blaq.

That's unless there is a zero maintenance node !INDEED (that is still useful)! 🤯😅

A no-maintenance node would either be heavily simplified or AI-maintained. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

!INDEED

I think that even an extremely simplified node that simply shows a "Hello, World!" text will go down if not maintained (even occasionally). 🤯 If it's AI-maintained, the AI itself needs maintaining (or it might go rogue)! 🤯😆

Then hosting #Qortal nodes is good for people who want hosting nodes (particularly "sovereignty-driven" ones) with minimal maintenance !INDEED. 😎 You might want to share how many times per day (or per week) you check out your Qortal node. 🤓

Yes, that's true. Qortal nodes are quite simple to run, and recent updates have increased the efficiency and resource use, so it just does its thing on my laptop without me even noticing that it's there, unless I look, of course. Well, since I'm at my laptop quite a lot, I keep track of my node in general, and do various things in the Qortal ecosystem via the Hub, which is a newer iteration of the UI. Usually I only really have to stop and restart my node periodically, due to an issue that is still being noodled out, but 90% of the time, I don't have to do anything at all. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Honestly, I wish that Hive only had one kind of node, as that would make things so much easier. Yeah, I'm not sure that our solar-electrical system could handle two laptops running 24/7. and I'm also not sure that our network bandwidth could handle two nodes. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Do you mean that you want Hive to have only "Hive nodes" only, and no second-layer ones such as #HiveEngine, #Magi (formerly #VirtualSmartChain), and #Honeycomb, so that it would make you host a Hive node easier (like @borniet already does even with his very limited time)? 🤯🤓

Some Hive Witness operators don't like Layer 2 networks though. 🤯 I even read a post that says that those networks simply "bloat" the blockchain (especially with custom JSONs). 🤯

!SLOTH

There's the point !INDEED that some people on Hive publish (a lot of) custom JSONs just to buy or sell bits of #HiveEngine tokens which are often not even worth 0.001 SWAP.HIVE each. 🤯🤓

!WEIRD
!ALIVE

OK, then put a lower limit on transactions, and until that threshold is reached, no transaction can be accepted. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

I wonder if that "lower limit" that you are thinking about is the absolute amount (such as 0.00000001 PEPE tokens) of each #HiveEngine token transaction, or the total worth of the transaction (in terms of HIVE or HBD). 🤯🤓

!PIZZA
!ALIVE
!WINEX

0

Well, it would make more sense to tie to to the price of HIVE or HBD, but I have no idea how that could be implemented. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

The Top 20 Hive Witnesses have their own chosen price for the HIVE token in terms of USD (up to three decimal places), so while #HiveEngine Witnesses can generally agree on a certain threshold in terms of HIVE or HBD, the changing price of HIVE will !INDEED complicate that. 🤯🤓
