How I got addicted to drinking of cassava flakes(Garri)
Garri my favorite food(cassava flakes)
If possible, I could go months on cassava flakes.
When we are to talk about being broke, I think it really tried for me, being broke made me who I am today, it opened my eyes to so many of my ability or strength that I have in life today, I am not saying that being broke is a good thing to experience, but with the all my experiences in life that I have gathered out of being broke, I have come to realize that to be broke is really part of life, and it is difficult to pass through it for long but the only people that tends to stay out of it or fight it out are people who are grave in life itself, people that want to live a life of purpose and people that would like to impact in life of others. Life itself is hard because you have to fight things out before you can have your needs in it, that is why it is not good to be lazy in anything that you find doing.
Although it is a fact of life and is unrelated to your line of work, being broke is not something you want to go through. I'll say this: Almost everyone in life has experienced financial hardship.
How a lack of money led to my garri (cassava flakes) addiction
In my life, I have gone six months without having any money, and this wasn't because I wasn't working; I was. However, the revenue I was earning at the time wasn't sufficient to take care of things after taking care of some necessary things, before the second week of the month.
I'm already bankrupt. It was a very difficult moment in my life, and I made cassava flakes my greatest food at that time out of necessity rather than choice. I ate them all through my days as a bachelor.
Now that things are a little bit getting better, I discovered that I can't do without eating cassava flake, I can now take it throughout a month, to show you the level of the addiction. Now if you ask me what is my best food, I will definitely tell you that is cassava flakes, For God so good, the wife I married likes drinking it too, including my kids, seriously
Garri (cassava flakes) has really helped during the time I was very broke .
I could clearly recall a month in particular when, in my opinion, the level of brokenness I was experiencing was so great that I was on the verge of asking my enemies for money. But I'm grateful that it didn't actually happen to me.I am saying this because I detest begging people for stuff, especially when it comes to money; I most definitely don't buy that idea. That would have been something I could never recover from.
Thank God for Garri (cassava flakes).
Thank you for reading my post.
This is my response to the hive learners prompt.

Hahaha it's the topic for me.
Do you know in Nigerian now garri is now a big man food😁
Big man food , indeed ooo
Hahaha when I saw this post, I first smiled and say this is a true Nigerian who might have gone through school to see how life really is in this part of the world. Garri is funly regarded as life Jacket in my area, and it is one of the most popular food in Nigeria.
Here in Nigeria, if you don't have anything as a student in school, atleast make sure that you have garri. Your article is really interesting friend, goodluck in this contest.
Thank you so much for passing by and I truly appreciate your comment
Garri of then has gone on extinction. The new garri now is gold. Bro, I really understand your position unto the garri level. We've all been there. I can't do without drinking garri. At least, I take it 4 to 5 times per week. It's a saviour. But the price of garri now is something else. Not like before. The only good thing about it is that you don't need to light the fire before preparing it. Just soak it for 5 minutes for it to swell up 3x, and start swallowing it. Fastest food in the universe. Smiles.
Lolzzz, 🥰🥰🥰the way you commented here shows you have really gone through it too, nice one and thank God for life
No be lie brother. Eye don see, but we thank God for life. It's a good story to tell
Thank you very much for you comment

Hi mate.. thanks mate for sharing. Glad to hear that things are getting a bit better for you - I've had a very tough few years myself, so perhaps can relate a little. Just a online video on how Garri is made - quite a process. Looks like something I'd be stoked to try out (eating not making lol). Kinda reminds me of like a maize meal (execpt not maize). What does it taste like? The vid I watched mentioned sweet and sour?
Hmm , this is amazing to my hearing , thank you for commenting
Cassava flakes has been saving lives and is still saving lives lol
Lolzzz

I love the first paragraph. Brokeness can teach like experience because it is an experience. When you’re broke, you learn. Things and people become very easy to read. You know what’s yours and what’s not.
Omoh! I like grocery too o. I see that Anty @treasuree is also a lover of the hood! That’s really dope. Garri is a life saver. Loool.

I like food who doesn't 😁
Wow that was so serious asking ur enemies for money but thank God u survived
Being broke has limitation in what we desire
Thanks for sharing
I really love this line:
I heard a similar line before, financial happens depends entirely on your social environment. A Millionaire (on average) wouldn't be financially happy if he was surrounded by Billionairs, even if he'd be one of the richest people in the world otherwise.
It's funny, but deep. Don't you think?

Garri is a life saver. Even though you are broke, once you have garri available then you are good to go.
Just that currently, garri is equivalent to gold .

Amen , thank you so much for stopping by, I really appreciate your comment
Hahaha, you said God so good, the lady you married loves it too right? I see people like me who loves cassava flakes. Back then we thought only broke people drink it, now it is even very expensive that it is becoming a staple food. It's really not easy anywhere but we hope for better times ahead. Meanwhile, taking it for six months it's much. You can limit it sometimes. Getting addicted to any thing is not so good, if you don't mind me saying.
Popped in from @dreemport
Cassava flakes hmmm , you are a big man ooo. You need cold water if possible the one with ice and milk together with group don't and sugar, the equation is balance.
