Hope we are all enjoying the holiday, at least resting properly even if we don’t have more or enough to enjoy all we anticipate at times like this because of how cost 💲 of living has become a big worry not only in the country where I came from but all over the world 🌍

I use to know or could I just say I remember how cheap things use to be while growing up and even up to my youth days and into adulthood. But all of a sudden cost 💲 of living has tripped in the last 2 years and has refused to come down. The worst being the basic necessities that man needs to sustain living. The basic necessities which does not even involved clothing, but food 🥘, shelter and medicals 🏥 .

Writing ✍️ this prompt my mind keeps wondering 💭 on what really happened that made the economy to be this worse. How come we are living in times as this where man 👨 goes to sleep 😴 hungry 🤤, because of how the government has failed.

When we say the economy has become so hard, we are talking of how many families can not afford food again, many are sick because of how they can not afford drugs and others can’t pay 💰 their rents. This is how hard it has become in my country Nigeria 🇳🇬 and I don’t know how your own country is now.

Considering what I spend day to day and into the months, it scares me so much because most times I feel so overwhelmed of how long will this continue. The cost 💲 of food 🥘 for family amounting to $100. And in totaling this some supplements are excluded to cut down expenses. Then the cost 💲 of gas ⛽️ which is the bone of contention that made things to worsen in my country is a no go area for rides or transportation because most times I try not to use the car 🚗 to cut down transportation. I can not even total the cost in a month because it’s alarming.

How cone or how is that even to enjoy supplements as an adult who needs to boost health has become a very big problem due to how every packaged supplement has tripped in price and even the fresh fruits are not reachable again to the middle class and the poor. The supplements I buy before at the cost 💲 of $10 are now ranging from $20 to $30, and these supplements are just for 30 days. Which is one tablet a day. Its very obvious that the government of my country are not thinking 💭 about the poor people wellbeing

The apartments that usually cost 💲 $500 per annum are all gone up to $1000 and more. And even these in the areas we see as cheapest areas because many who live in the high boroughs pay 💰 triple of this price because they are the upper class. These cost 💲 of living are getting worse each day and the government are adamant to it. The worst being that those who are less privileged are the ones suffering most.

Changing location is far fetched due to how many who has lived in a certain environment finds it very difficult to relocate because of settling becomes a big challenge. This is so because of how many are workers and to leave job for relocation is not an easy decision. Others who are business owners don’t even want to dare think 💭 about it. And I as a realtor will always consider my kind of job first, considering where development are more as dealing with properties and clients needs focus.

In all these, one thing that can make life easier for as many who are in this situation is either to up grade in a career job which definitely will bring an increase in earning more salaries called income or the reduction in expenses, cutting down everything into two, whereby some necessities are removed focusing on those called needs and not wants . Its very obvious that in this times many has also left many things for others due to challenges.

But we also know that there are unforeseen circumstances that might crop up once in a while so the best we could do for ourselves is to become versatile in what we do as humans to be able to fight with change in times while drawing ✍️ the “SCALE OF PREFERENCE”.
