All In On Me
In life, there's endless possibilities. One action we take can cause a ripple and open doors to many different possibilities. For example, by choosing to finish a degree, there's more opportunities out there since some jobs have a minimum requirement of having a degree.
Where am I going with all this? Well, I want to make a statement and say life is a bit of a gamble. When someone decides to make a decision on something, they are betting for a certain outcome. For example, Mark Zuckerberg dropped out of Harvard to make Facebook. Mark bet and believed in the tech he was building and now look where he is; he's a multi-billionaire. Of course this is to the extreme and not everyone will make it that big in life.
This leads me to the main topic of this post. Should gambling be made illegal? Personally, I don't think gambling should be made illegal. With control and discipline, there’s nothing inherently wrong with gambling. Gambling is a part of life as I mentioned before with my statement that life is a gamble. Every action taken has an outcome and these outcomes can be good or bad. Gambling with money is just monetizing these outcomes in forms of games or outcomes in sports etc. For me, I see gambling as a form of entertainment. Personally, I only gamble for fun with small amounts or fake money. I don't judge people for gambling. It's chill and hopefully they are only gambling money that they can afford to lose.
You may want to counter-argue with me and say that oh look at these gambling addicts borrowing money, losing their homes, losing their family etc. All this goes back to what I said about control and discipline. These people were trying to get rich fast and there's really no shortcut in life. Those that do get lucky on lottery tickets or casinos are probably less than 1% of the world. Most of us that gamble are going to lose to the house every time. This is a fact because if most of us won, then there's no way casinos, scratchers or lottery tickets etc would be a profitable business.
If society was to make gambling illegal, they might as well ban everything. Make gaming, alcohol, violent movies and all types of knives and guns illegal while we're at it. That way nobody can do anything crazy right. Anything done excessively can be a bad thing. For me, it was video games back when I was younger. I was super addicted back then and it did make me moody and do poorly in my studies. For others, it may be alcohol. They get drunk and don't know how to control themselves and do stupid shit; they ruin their family etc.
All in all, the best gamble and bet we can make is on ourselves. By learning, growing and being a better version of ourselves, that's the lowest risk and highest reward bet out there in life. That's right go all in on "me" and for those reading go all in on "you". Sadly, not everyone is aware of that but I do hope those that read this post can understand. That's all from me. Hi @ShawnNFT, how long has it been? Excellent post! When you mention gaming addiction, it's real. Many people want quick gains without risk. That doesn't exist. The bank always wins. However, with financial education and common sense, we can find balance and make it healthy, entertainment.

Yea that's how it is lol .everyone wants fast that's why videos are now capped 30seconds lol cuz our attention is lost after that. Money is the same. banks win because they are insiders. yes just have to make it healthy entertainment as you said. no pressure there you know.
Fucken love this piece my Mang. I used to trade forex CFD. I usually over leverage, and mainly aim for 1 event, first Friday of the month, non-farm payroll. British pound against us dollars. Either I make a small fortune for the next few months, or lose it all 🤣 some call this a gamble, I used to call it calculated risk investment. Now I call it gamble 🤣 and perfectly match the term junky.
My point is, you can "name" something gambling for legal term, but in real life, almost anything has a probability that can be gamble. One can gamble in stock investment. One can gamble what time they are gonna arrive at a job interview(oh trust me, I did that on every job interview).

Come to think of it, if gambling is made illegal, people might still find a way of doing it secretly and can even have more dangerous effects that way...I feel control and discipline may be effective a bit but how many people will be discipline enough? That's the challenge...greedy has taken over many people and they don't know when to draw the line

Gambling or betting for me have another opinions. I consider them illegal because it can destroys many families. Only one winner and many losers, gambling has more negative incidence ratio so I'm not in its favour.
what can't destroy family lives? Drinking does it too man. everything you do in life is a gamble. there's no guaranteed outcome. people do the right things still end up homeless without being a gambler O.O

I don’t think gambling can be ban or tag as illegal because it is a practice that is very old and it has been integrated into different areas of our life but we don’t even know.
It might has its disadvantages but it has its own advantages
aye Fash. Honestly if pushed, I think it could haha. A lot people probably never thought weed would be legalized. I mean I won't put it out the door. Anything's possible. The part where it won't happen is all the rich people definitely wouldn't want it to stop lol especially those operating and the govt making the tax money on it so ya in this case probably unlikely it'll ever be illegal xd.
