If I Had One Month to Learn a Skill, It Would Be This!
If you ask me, the major cause of why many people, including myself, aren't taking a step to learn that particular skill that is on our minds is the lack of resources. Trust me, if everything is provided, would you think there would be any delay again? Except such a person just doesn't have an interest or has decided to be lazy.

Among all skills I have always admired, it is baking. I mean making the likes of cake, small chops, doughnuts, etc. There are videos of how to make a number of snacks I have saved on YouTube, just in case I have the necessary equipment later in future so I can give them a try.
The only major hindrance is not having an oven and other equipment. I could remember how my aunt and I were always interested in making snacks back then because she had an oven and other equipment. I never saw it as something I wanted to learn, and my aunt was the kind of person who had to protect her stuff and wouldn't want anyone to go near it except when she permitted us.
I love snacks a lot, and the fact that I didn't have the resources stopped me. Years ago, I was into the business of making snacks like puff puff, chin chin and doughnuts, where I had my brand name printed in papers and would seal them, then distribute them to those who would resell them. But because those were easier to make using either a stove or gas and not an oven, it made it easier.

During my youth service, I had this colleague who would deliver snacks when I ordered them, and most times, I have talked her into teaching me while I pay for the training, but she thought I was joking and besides, I didn't follow up, too, because I was busy with Hive and other activities, but I still always have it in mind to someday learn how to bake cakes and other snacks made with oven.
I remember when, last year, I spoke at the teenagers' forum at my church. I narrated how I was into making snacks. One of the women who attended thought I knew how to do small chops. After a few weeks, she came to me and asked if I was still making those snacks, as I had said during the program, but I told her no because I was scared.
Seeing that she needed someone to help her for an event, I decided to refer her to the lady who was into it. Still, in my mind, it hurt me because I saw myself already taking the orders and making a business for myself had I learn that skill a long time ago, but due to lack of resources, I couldn't.
If all resources are provided, of course, there wouldn't be anything stopping me from jumping at it and learn for a month, which I am sure I would perform greatly.
There are opportunities where I can make these snacks, package them neatly and distribute them, especially at workplaces. Aside from that, this will come in handy at home where I had made snacks for my family and they'd enjoy.

I love snacks too and baking is indeed easy to learn once your heart is focused on learning it.
Absolutely, you are right.
Thanks
Baking, the processes and results are always beautiful when watching them. I used to watch famous creative bakers on YouTube and it is wonderful how they effortless make art while baking.
I pray the right resources come your way, baking is a booming business in the right environment and with marketing, especially well packaged ones.
You are very right. With the right environment and packaging, you are good to go. Thank you, Psalmmy.
I love anything baked, and i am currently learning it for my personal use. Thanks for sharing.
That's a good one. I wish you all the best.
Oh, I can imagine the feeling of missing that order because you weren't sure if you could deliver. I would have taken the order and then contract the person to do it for me. Each of us gains. 😅
Snack making is a viable business as most people eat snacks on the go.
I make chin chin, but only for family use now. Stopped making for sale when the prices of materials went high.
I hope I'll find time to start up again.

You are right. With the available resources and encouragment, I am sure one would be motivated to get on to work. Thank you, ma.
It’s not easy when you want to do something but don’t have the things you need to start. I can see that baking is something you truly love, and it’s sad that lack of resources has held you back. But I believe that one day, when the time is right, you’ll get everything you need and finally do it the way you’ve always dreamed.
Yes, Eunice. I love baking and I can't wait to start baking and mostly enjoy my work with my family at home. It sure is a great one having a skill as this.
