Good day, people of Hive! Welcome to my blog. Today's topic is "Compulsory Check-up," so let's dive in.

We all know that health is wealth because our health is really more important to us than to neglect it. Let's imagine waking up one day, and then we discover that the government has made it compulsory for everyone to go for a medical check-up once a year, just like we pay taxes, and failure to do so could mean jail time.

At first, this might sound like a good idea because many people only go to the hospital when they feel very sick, and by then, the illness may have gotten worse.

We have some diseases that doesn't show symptoms for years like cancer and high blood pressure. By the time they start feeling the symptoms, it might be too late, but we have some that are curable, but it's very expensive to treat, e.g., cancer. For example, a poor man or woman who has cancer, and before they start feeling the symptoms, it's too late, and they go to the hospital, but the doctor said there's still a way to cure the cancer, but it's too expensive. Did you think the poor man or woman will be able to afford to pay for the treatment? Absolutely not, they can't afford it. So, if we had to do check-ups yearly, so that doctors could detect sicknesses early and treat them before they get worse, then it's a good idea.

Another reason why yearly check-ups might be good is mental health. There are a lot of people struggling with depression, anxiety, etc. So if mental health check-ups were compulsory, so that doctors could help them understand what they are going through and provide support, treatment, or even therapy.

You know, treating sickness early is much cheaper than waiting until it becomes critical that there will be no solution to it.

As yearly check-ups sound like a good idea, they also have many challenges.

Firstly, not everyone will like the idea of being forced to visit the hospital. Some believe that they have the right to decide whether or not to check their health because it's their lives. So forcing them to go to the hospital might feel like the government is controlling their lives.

Secondly, there's issue of money. Not everyone can afford going to hospital for check-ups, especially in this my country where healthcare is very expensive. We have some people who struggle to eat, so if they are been forced to go for check-ups without the government making it cheaper or affordable, the poor people will be the one to suffer the most.

Thirdly, as we have people who are afraid of height, we also have people who are afraid to go to the hospital. Because they think or believe that once they go to the hospital, doctors will surely find something to say about their health. While some just hate to hear bad news about their health, because once they hear it they can commit suicide.

So if they allow check-ups compulsory and failure to do so, there's punishment for it; people might start paying for fake medical reports, which is very common in my country. That's why my country is very corrupt.

So if forcing people to do check-ups every year isn't the best idea, what else can be done?

Firstly, the government should make healthcare free or affordable. Because if they do people will go for check-ups willingly instead of being forced.

Secondly, instead of people who do not go for check-ups landing in jail, the government can give a reward. Because if the government gives a reward this way, people will go to the hospital because they want to, not because they are scared or forced.

In conclusion, while making check-ups compulsory sounds good, it has many challenges. Our health is very important, but forcing people to do check-ups might even cause more problems than good. So, instead of sending people to jail for refusing to do their check-ups, the government should focus on making healththcare cheaper and educating people why health check-ups matter.

Very good point here sis. Some terminal illnesses don’t show us signs until it worsened.

If yearly check-ups are made mandatory, lives will be saved because doctors will be able to detect this like BP (Blood🩸Pleasure), cancer and kiddos problems early enough which definitely will require low cost treatment because they are still at the early stage.

Prevention is the cure. If we do regular check ups, we can avoid serious illnesses,if not we at least we can seek medical help early.

Exactly, it all comes down to affordability. In a country where health care services is not cheap, it will be almost impossible to make it mandatory.

Absolutely right, if healthcare services is expensive it will be almost impossible to make it mandatory because it's not everyone that can afford the price.
