Avoiding workplace burnout is sometimes inevitable.

Hello, everyone.

Welcome to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learner's featured post. Running around trying to make ends meet has made burnout a common thing for people; we get tired and rest up to help our energy recuperate, but workplace burnout is on a whole different level. Have you ever felt like you are losing your sanity the moment you enter your workplace or whenever you remember you have to be there? Sometimes the moment you see the building, you start feeling traumatized, and what you have to do and the stress you have to go through every day starts to play out in your head; that is what we call workplace burnout.

Workplace burnout can be caused by a lot of things; it can be because of the workload, toxic colleagues, toxic bosses, and toxic management at the workplace. All of these can cause one to suffer workplace burnout. Workplace burnout can cause someone who loves their job to end up hating it and those who don't even love what they are doing to feel like they are losing their sanity. Workplace burnout causes you to feel pressured, sometimes even when the pressure is not there, but because you already feel tired of your work, you just see and feel pressured.

Workplace burnout is difficult to recover from, so it is best you avoid it. The truth about workplace burnout is that whether you love your job or not, it will happen to you if you let it. Working in private industries makes avoiding workplace burnout inevitable, as they will want to squeeze out every last strength left in you to ensure that you work for the money that they pay you. Private industries will give you a run for your pay; they will ensure that your pay is not even equal to how much work you put in.

A few years ago, when I worked in a sachet water-producing company, I had workplace burnout. I worked from 4am to 11pm; sometimes we even closed by 12am, and I still needed to report to work by 4am. All these efforts, but we still had a boss that complained about every little thing; he does not even appreciate everything we do, and that really made us all suffer workplace burnout. Waking up in the morning and remembering the stress that awaits and our nagging boss caused the job to be extremely tiring and exhausting; remembering that you have to report to work the moment you wake up spoils your day even before your day starts.

How to avoid workplace burnout.

Know when to take a break: Once you start feeling drained with work, know when to take a break even if it is for a few days. Staying away from the workplace for a few days or even months can help avoid workplace burnout.

Self-care: Some jobs get in the way of our sleep and stop us from having enough rest, but if we prioritize self-care, we will be able to have rest while we give the job our best.

Network with colleagues: Networking and having good relationships with colleagues makes one long to go to their workplace and makes the stay at the workplace fun, and once there is fun, workplace burnout will stay far.

The worst of it all is when you have toxic collegues.
These are some good tips. Self care is very important and most people are ignorant to it

😂Like it's unavoidable because there's no how you will work and not be stressed out

Some jobs are even worse, you don't need to work for long before you get tired of working there.

Thanks for stopping by.
