Educational System In My Country

it is a widely said thing that education is key. The search for knowledge has aided in our immense growth and development. Education is an important part of life, but then, people don't really see education as that.

In my family, we do value education. My mom never wanted me to learn anything that was not written in books, because she believes that vindication and financial freedom comes from books. I equally believe that too, but these days, my perspective is being affected by a few things I'm seeing around me.

In my country, not many people believe in education. Gone are the days when people think financial freedom comes from going to school and getting a certificate for the purpose of getting a nice paying job and earning a salary. In my country today, everybody wants to be the boss. A few years ago, somebody released a song. In that song they said school is a scam.

This post is all about the educational sysem of my country. It is an entry for hive learners prompt, GETTING EDUCATED. In this post, i would write about peoples perspective of education in my country, limitations bounding people from access schools and i will write about my own perspective of education. Here goes....

Education in my country is actually nice if you have the money... Though school fees is not all that expensive, accessing quality education has proven to be a very difficult thing for struggling families.

The government of my country are trying to bring good education but then, things keep getting downhill. Classrooms are really bad, and teachers are not frequently coming to teach their students. Their excuse is that they have not been paid by the government.

Its quite sad. Getting educated is a very vital part of life. Just like they say, knowledge is power. Fortunately, in my country, everybody whether male or female, have right to good education but their pocket capacity is the spokesman on the quality of education they can access.

Everybody have their perspective of education. I can't say for the entire country, but some people i have come across have a mentality that states that education is a scam. They believe that going to school is like wasting time. According to them, why labour for 5 years to get a certificate when i can use that 5 years for other things and buy a certificate at the end of the day? Though i don't know if its true or not, i have heard a lot of stories about people buying certificates.

Instead of going to school, some young boys and girls prefer to learn hand work. Some go ahead to learn carpentry, window fixing, barbing and a lot more lucrative things that will give immediate money. Welp, i don't blame them because most people that religiously studied their books and graduated with good grades are cab drivers in the city.

I love education like i love my self. Yes, I learnt a few skills but that is not because i don't believe in being educated. I learnt those skills cause' i want to have other things doing aside my career path. Unfortunately, i don't practice my skills quite often.

According to my mom, she wants her children to be able to feed their family with just a pen and a paper. The only way i can do this is to become educated.

Thank you for reading.

I found it interesting how you contrasted your family's value of education with the negative perception many have today. I liked how you brought in real-life examples and your mother's perspective; it made it clear how much the country's situation impacts these choices.
