To the Rescue: Who Would I Trust With My Life?

The thought of being kidnapped by dangerous people is always a scary one, but the truth is that, considering the many happenings in our world today, I have thought of this many times and kept saying "what ifs," but I don't allow myself to dwell long in such negative thoughts.

However, if we should be very practical, life is full of uncertainties, full of ups and downs, and obviously, we can't control a lot of things. We can only wish and hope that evil does not prevail.

When my mum got kidnapped by these dangerous people, it was like she was dreaming and begging to wake up from such a dream, lol. She has heard of kidnapping activities numerous times but never believed she would one day be a victim. As a matter of fact, one of my family members dreamt about her kidnap prior to her trip, but she cancelled it immediately and said it's never her portion, but then, God saved her at last. What I am trying to point out is that no matter how we wish that we don't get involved with those dangerous people, it's still possible to be a victim, but not my prayer for anyone anyways, but then, the prompt question said...

If I were to go missing or get kidnapped by dangerous people and had to choose one fictional character to come rescue me, who would I pick? A hero, or a villain, but their personality will also play a huge role in how they get to rescue me and the lengths they'd be willing to go. Wow, we all know the popular superheroes, Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, and others, right? These guys are great characters and are very popular; they look strong too for such a war, but hold on, in such a situation, you may need to consider a rescuer with a better strategy.

The one who is very relentless and makes sure no one is left behind. The one that values lives and can break rules for your sake, lol. That's the type of rescuer one needs in this situation, and I gave that to Jack Bauer! Yea, he is a strategic fighter! But hold on, will I really choose him even?

I would rather choose God and His angelic armies! I am aware that He is NOT a fictional character, but many times, he has proven to be so amazingly real in my life to the point that I can only imagine Him as my Superman in this context. He has power that no dangerous people can overcome.

When I imagine my whole body being tied firmly by these kidnappers, I imagine how I will be reflecting about my kids and my entire family and the memories we share together. I know that in that situation, it's only God I will call upon, and guess what? His love never fails! Kidnappers will tremble at his presence; his voice of authority will untie me at a command, and he will jealously take me out from such a dungeon unharmed and even remind me that I still have a purpose to fulfill on earth, and so, it's not yet time!. That's God for you, and that's who I know him for, more than a rescuer!

I may have sounded emotional, but that's because it came from the heart of a mother and a wife who is deeply concerned not only about her safety but also about the negative effect those I leave behind will suffer if things go wrong with me, so I can only choose the one that would leave no stone unturned until I am rescued!
