The Beauty and Burden of My Dear Country
My dear country is a place filled with endless energy. A place filled with vibrant and resilient humans and more. At times, I used to wonder how my country is blessed with many nice things and yet filled with diverse challenges. It's a burden and also mixed emotions.

Whenever the name Nigeria is mentioned to the world, I think the first thing people commonly talk about is our rich culture and resilience. Despite all short comings , we are full of life, super creative and hardworking. Talk of food, we are great there; talk of music, we dominate the world with great talents out there, making waves and showcasing great talents beyond Africa.
We are known for being intelligent and hardworking, which is why a good percentage of us do not just survive but also make it wherever we find ourselves. Over there in Abroad, Nigerians hold positions that the citizens of the country struggle to cope with, and this is a fact, not just an assumption.
That's to prove to you how hardworking we are and what we are known for. We don't run away from tough situations; we face them and survive the gallops.I think the tough economy we have been faced with over the years had a way of making most people go tough by force just to survive. I have heard of Nigerians residing in many other countries and how they do all manner of jobs to survive, coming down here after many years to be better financially.

I don't need anyone to tell me otherwise; I am sure of how resilient we are naturally. Even on Hive, most of us hardly give up. We grind it, whether bear or bull, with sincerity, not minding the bad eggs. We adapt to tough situations easily and put a smile out, and then when things go wrong, we still find a way to pull through and stand out.
Having said that , the bad thing we are known for is fraud and of course insecurity. Unfortunately, just a small percentage of Nigerians are fraudsters, but they assume everyone is bad.
I can't deny that my country is filled with corrupt leaders and with some fraudsters going about denting the image of a whole nation. Even the news headlines carry it every now and then. Currently, USA government are trying to come rescue my country from the thousands of killings of Christians going on in the north. All these negativities about my country make it look like all Nigerians are bad, and people will look at you somehow when you mention that you are a Nigerian.

There are still many people who aren't corrupt or scammers or killers. But then, it is what it is. The effect of these issues has been real. Nowadays, foreign investors are skeptical about doing business with Nigerians. Even getting a visa for some countries is becoming a story all because of the label we are bearing.
I really believe that we can be this change in my country starting with each individuals . Thinking all Nigerians are fraudsters isn't a fact.
Our intelligence and hard work have made us very valuable despite what people think about us. However, we may not be perfect, but we can choose to do the right thing.

Nigerians are really industrious and hardworking, they can survive irrespective of the situation on ground. I must salute Nigerians. We truly have tough skins that adjust to situations of life.

Not everyone has same mentality and same nature, a one bad fish is enough to make pond dirty. Good and bad people are every where, in my country also and in USA and other developed countries also.
I really like the first pic you shared.
