Something interesting among many things I did 24 hours ago.
One of the things I did was to set up a workbench called a 5-minute-shaper, which serves to exercise my back and abdominal muscles, glutes, legs and arms.
You see, the dynamics of my work makes me sit many hours analyzing clients in front of a computer, being my most routine exercise to walk about 2 km from the bus stop to where my work is located in the morning and in the afternoon when I leave I do the reverse route also of 2 km, for a daily total of 4 km of walking. This exercise is not enough to level my blood sugar levels.
Unfortunately I am diabetic and I must take care of my blood sugar levels, the doctors that have treated me tell me that I must have at least 150 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity a week.
I should exercise at least 20-25 minutes a day, and these activities should work legs, hips, back, abdomen, chest, shoulders and arms.
Three years ago a family member left the country and gave me a piece of exercise equipment that took up a lot of physical space in a room in my house and I hadn't paid much attention to it.
Given my sedentary lifestyle I decided to build this equipment which according to its box will allow me to shape my abdomen, waist, arms and legs. It includes control to keep track of repetitions, calorie level and exercise time, all this supposedly with an investment of 5 minutes a day.
I found myself with few pieces to assemble: 2 large steel screws with their respective washers, 2 small steel screws with their washers, 2 bolts that function as locks, and an Allen wrench as a tool to proceed with its assembly.

The equipment as such presents a main frame, six foam rubber type supports, a handlebar, a protection cover, a monitor that includes two AA batteries.
Open the main frame of the equipment in a position very close to the floor, and place the latches in the beginner's position, close to the floor. Then insert the foam rubber mounts on the bottom of the unit and also on the top of the unit.
Proceed to place the handlebar on the main structure and secure it with the longest bolts and their respective washers using the Allen wrench. The handlebar presents a support where the monitor is inserted which has a cable that must be connected to another one that is in the main frame.
Place the protection cover on the handlebar, since it is the area provided for this and secure it with the small screws using the Allen wrench.
I did all this by looking at the reference photo on the box as the equipment does not have any manual, then I looked for a tutorial on Youtube and luckily I saw that I put it together well.

I had to place it next to my bed, since I think I should see it every day, and create awareness that I should use it for my health.
Using this workbench to exercise should be useful to me because in theory, besides helping me physically, it will lower my blood sugar levels, reduce the risk of heart disease, reduce symptoms of depression and reduce my stress.
I should start this physical activity slowly, gradually doing more activity by gradually increasing the time and intensity each week.
Before doing any exercise I must hydrate with water and I am aware of the fact that I must research about what routine is good for me to start training properly on this equipment, and something very important that I must not leave out is learning how to eat better.
All of this sounds exhausting, but I must be healthier to enjoy a better quality of life both at home and at work.
Greetings to everyone in the Hive Learners community, have a productive week.
The photos are my property and were taken with my Umidigi F2 cell phone.
It's been a long time i did some of this type of training. Am becoming lazy nowadays, lol.
You trek 4 kilometers everyday?
That's some distance bro. Wish I could.
What happens is that transportation is expensive and I live outside the city of Caracas. I don't invest any more money to go to my workplace. I get to the terminal and walk to work that distance in a straight line and I'm used to it and it doesn't take me that long. Because of my diabetes I have to lower my blood sugar levels, and an effective way to do this is with exercise, I hope to make proper use of this device. Thanks for stopping by!
You are taking a step in the right direction and as someone that also works a lot while sitting, I see reasons why it is important to engage in this sort of exercise.
For me, I have it as part of my routine to create enough time each day that I will use to go for a walk. I also do mild indoor workouts but it's not something I do very often.
This is inspiring. Thanks for sharing it with us.
It is precisely by sitting for long periods of time that we become somewhat sedentary. We must try to be more active and if possible to exercise at home, even if it is only a few minutes a day. Exercise should activate us and give us strength, but we must do it consistently. I hope to be constant with this device, at least I have the disposition. Thanks for commenting.
Sorry about your condition, please adhere to the doctor's prescription. I believe if you do, you would not need to be scared of anything. My prayer for you is that God takes the disease from you permanently.
You just reminded me of my physical exercise routine, I have not be consistent recently and honestly, I don't even have any good reason for that.
Thank you for your wishes. I am insulin dependent, and have had very high sugar levels lately. The doctor among several things recommended me to do exercises to lower these levels, I must burn that sugar.
Smiles, please commit to those exercises, i know you will definitely burn those sugar
