The Reality Of Life Without A Phone.

Come to think if it, how long can you survive without a phone, an hour or two, a day or two?. Many of us would definitely be disarranged and panic after hours of our phones going faulty, have been there, presently, sm there, so I very well know. Aside that we might be bored, this means we would be literally cut off from the world generally....from work, from people, from life.....

Here comes my own question...How did something that didn’t even exist decades/centuries ago now become our very own person and the very heart of our daily routine?

Presently, I can’t say I have a phone, my phone has become a regular at the technician shop. It slept there the night before yesterday. I went for it yesterday evening, and even then, it still doesn't show a sign of recovery, its still weak and bad, its hard to explain, but for the past few weeks I have come to realize just how much my phone means to me, not because I’m addicted to social media but because I actually do things with it, very important things..work, impact and all.

Well, we all have a name for it, to some its reliance, to some its obsession, for me, I would day it depends on what you make usr of it for, and to me, jts something very deep. My phone happens to be the very tool I use to help people in my little way...I assist caterers with organizing orders, I respond to people who send me anonymous messages needing help or advice, I attend to customers and make very beautiful frames, I also write and share thoughts that bring healing/comfort to others, I run charity efforts with it and I blog.

So, come to think of, when I'm without it, is it just that I'm missing out, what about the people that wait for my post, what about those that just need me to respond to them, what about those who just need to say it all out, what about those eho just needed an assurance. We live in a world where everyone has one or two things he or she is going through, and if your phone happens to be a means in which you could help a soul, then why not, since you are making impact, then I would say that(impact)is what you are obsessed with, if there was a better means than a phone, then I would go for it......

Now, someone like me, that even tend to over think, I do wonder if they would think I’m ignoring them, or that I’m not fine, or that I’ve abandoned them or what I do?....The world we live in is a world where silence can be mistaken for neglect. I'm not being dramatic here, bit if you are someone who’s used to being there for others through this small device(phone), you’ll very well understand what I mean.

Also, somewhere like Nigeria, I wouldn't say anybody is even obsessed with, except for the.... (I don't want to use an odd language), many of us run six, seven jobs, we don't see phone as luxury anymore, its just a means of survival as well, it should make money, if not...then what.

Our phone is that office we can put in our pocket, the bank we can have in our hand....and a lot more..... So, its hard to to admit that we can’t do without it, as sometimes we feel lifeless, jobless, bored, out, sick or that we dont even exist without it.

Like I said earlier, I can't really say I have one, my thought is just that...maybe, just maybe this short forced break is teaching me something, something like there's the need to always have backups, that I should slow down a bit, am facing stuffs too, I should allow myself to heal and calm too, that way I can return back to me and perform excellently well.

In this present age, life without a phone is hard, especially when your life, like mine, is wired into that device. So, how long can I be without a phone....not long, not long at all. Am looking to get one soon.... Moneys the only delaying factor , as my phone happens to be my workspace and my little way of showing up for the worl
