Gender Equity: Are the average women ready for a shared responsibility?
Hello people! Greetings!
When it comes to gender equity talk, I have a somewhat opposite view from what a lot of people see, and I do not shy away from it because it comes from a clear reality of what is happening in our world today.
What is gender equity? It is simply men and women being treated the same, with no preferential treatment given to one gender, unlike what we see in our world today where men working in an organisation alongside women receive a higher salary simply because they are seen as the superior gender. Or men being seen as the head of the house and dictators, while on the other hand, women are considered the weaker vessels, and that perception is applied in every area.
For me, if gender equity is stabilised, I think it is going to be okay by me because I am not even interested in dragging gender positions—especially with the fact that the wife I am marrying will bring half of the money we are going to use for the wedding, or we will share the family bills and a problem will not occur. If it remains like that, it will not be a problem, and not when the rights of a man are being dragged publicly but, when it comes to tasks, the female gender shifts behind.
The world is pushing for a balance, but the question is: ARE WOMEN READY TO COME UP AND MEET THE TASK?
This is the question I always ask because I have seen situations where even the ladies canvassing for gender equity step down and channel the task to men whenever it comes to work that requires manly manpower or resources.
Ohhh! People are ready to attack me because of what I just said now.
Like I said earlier, making a gender balance in our world will be a nice thing, but let us know the truth—that women are created a bit weaker compared to men, and this is not just a social construct but a fact. Most times, the sectors where women push for gender equity are when it comes to brain work, office positions, or sports, but when it comes to tasks that require the physical strength of a man, they shift it to men.
Oh yes, I am talking from experience. I once worked in an organisation as the only guy in the midst of 10 ladies, and we had the topic of balancing payment and not topping mine because I was the guy. We also agreed to handle the work equally, but guess what? Whenever we had extra work such as offloading items from the car, the ladies would start looking for me to do the carrying because I am a guy, and anytime I refused, I would be reported.
Will the women agree to share equal financial responsibility?
The women who always push for equality are usually the ones that have a personal financial stand. Others? No! Why push for gender equity when, if the time comes to share financial responsibility, they will push the bigger portion to the man because he is the head of the house?
Like I said, gender equity is a good thing if responsibilities are shared. But as long as gender equity is still just talk with no action, then the ladies should lock up.
Thank you.

When talking about gender equality, we are not talking about higher or lower responsibility but giving the same right in the society, woman should not be treated less.
Okay, I want to ask,
What is the genesis of the "equality" talk?
There was a gap and difference in how the society accepts the male and the female gender, right?
So talking about;
Is not to be talked about in a gender equity topic?
Mah, straightforward definition is not my thing 👌
I think that society is changing consciousness at least in many parts of the world and little by little equality between both is becoming fairer.
Women are not physically strong as men only if they hit the gym then I can say they can lift the weight. But someone without it is not that capable. Equal rights doesn't mean this kind of thing. Not everyone is capable for everything. Brain works equally so yeah that kind of job with brilliance should be paid equally.
I really agree with you on this and I am a female. God never intended equality in the sense that most people are canvassing for it.
There should and will always be a hierarchy system that distinguishes males from females.
The better my gender realize this, the better for us
Lol... You're blunt and sarcastic but those are just the bitter truths and the fact.
In as much as I try to do things myself in carrying heavy stuffs, I can seek help from a man if there's one available to help me out because I know he will be stronger than me. Now, where did that mentality came from? I don't know 😂 but I would say probably with the way we've seen the female gender to be flexible and cared for sha and that doesn't still mean we should be addressed like we're weak anyways
