Fans meeting their idols
Hello everyone!
The topic of the interactions between celebrities and their fans is such a controversial one. The debate on how some celebrities react badly, acting like gods in the presence of their die-hard fans, and how some fans behave rudely or without manners when they meet their favorite celebrities, has been ongoing. Sometimes, it seems like a balanced issue, while at other times, it appears that celebrities always overdo their reactions in the presence of their fans.
For me, I haven't really seen any of my top celebrities in person. We've had big celebrities come to my city, and their presence gave a lot of people sleepless nights (in a positive way) because they were finally getting the chance to see their idols. Meanwhile, I was there feeling unconcerned about the whole thing. At the end of these events, we usually hear reports about how the celebrities behaved and how only a select few were allowed to take pictures with them—mostly those who were close to the event’s management.
To be honest, without mincing words, I am one of those people who would take great offense and react badly if I happened to see my favorite celebrity and was not allowed to get close enough due to some restriction. I would not take it lightly. So, whenever I see or hear of fans going crazy and behaving wildly in the presence of their favorite celebrities, I do not blame them. It is simply adrenaline at work—it could be that they have waited for years to have such an opportunity. We have seen this happen many times on the football pitch, where a fan invades the field just to touch or take a picture with their football idol. Sometimes, it ends well for such pitch invaders, as the footballer allows them to have a hug or a photo. Other times, security intervenes and bundles them off before they can reach the footballer, all for security reasons.
Most of the time, the reason why celebrities behave this way—why they put up many barricades, have multiple bodyguards, and push away fans who try to meet them—is due to security concerns, which is understandable to an extent. However, celebrities often take this to an excessive level. I have seen many instances where a fan walked up on stage to dance with a celebrity, only to be kicked away like trash. It makes me wonder a lot—why should such an extreme reaction be necessary? Even if there is an evil intention, at least the bodyguards are present to observe the situation and act accordingly if things take a wrong turn.
I am not supporting fans just because I am one of them, but the fact remains that celebrities often overdo their acts. If only they understood how much their fans idolize them and long for a chance to meet them, they might be more considerate. It sucks!
The reason I love PORTABLE's lifestyle. He's so free😅
At the same time, some fans who do not genuinely admire the celebrity but instead make them uncomfortable with endless demands—especially financial ones—are also at fault. I have seen situations where celebrities feel compelled to go out with bundles of money because they know they will be swarmed and begged for cash the moment they step outside. This is unfair. As fans, we should do better too.
Thanks for reading.
I am not one of those die-hard fans oo... like e no dey move me say my favorite celebrity is in town..as much as I admire their efforts and entertainment
At some point, I also feel that some celebrities over react due to security issues but c'mon, things should have limit because without the fans, that celebrity wouldn't be known. I hope both fans and celebs behave themselves biko

Yeah, it's normal to have less attachment to celebrities. Very normal.
Their fame totally depends on fans. Like it has been said many time, if fans decide not to hang around these people (especially in their social media stuff), they're gone.

I'm not sure how I'll react to see my favourite celebrity for the first time in real life, maybe it will be so exciting but I won't expect much, they have their rights to choose who they let get close.
Yeah, they have their right, but they allow me for that day first😎

The problem with fans and this celebrity issue is that everyone is not the same in feelings. Some fans go extra miles in idolizing their favorite celebrities while others don’t even see it as something to be mad about. This does not mean they don’t love the person
I once met 2face also known as 2baba in a hotel where he came to meet with guests. It was casual. I just waved across to him from where I was standing. He smiled and waved back.
We all have the way we feel about our favorite celebrities but it must not be with craziness.
This is true.
Just like me, there are a lot of them that people go gaga for, that I'll just mute when I happen to meet them. Also, there are others (very few) that my nuts could loose when I see them😁
Exactly. Its a feeling thing. Happy Friday 💕❤️
Atimes fans aggressiveness are the major cause of how rude some superstars are
Exactly!
We overdo it most times that's why these people apply precaution in letting fans come close to them.
