Hello everyone, my first participation in hive learners and with a very important theme "Crime Rate", I live in Brazil, but I'll start by commenting on the crime rate in my neighborhood, it's very low, I believe that three factors were essential to go decreasing over the years the rate:

1st Most of the residents are old residents, that is, one has known the other for at least 10 years, so one always protects the other's residence, as if it were a group of active vigilantes.

2nd My neighborhood still has a lot of "green" , there is a pond in the center of the neighborhood and many trees, I believe that places where people can exercise more and have a quality of life also help in this issue of security indirectly, not to mention that it's great to wake up to the sounds of birds singing, it's the best alarm clock ever!!!

3rd It has schools and education centers, the greater the professionalization, the lower the unemployment rate, that is, people end up having more opportunities.

As for my city, I consider it a quiet city, are there crimes? yes there are, but they are few, let's say that my city has a population of +- 200 thousand inhabitants, which in my country is already considered a medium to large city, but with a low crime rate, of course, there are some more dangerous neighborhoods , however, in general, it is a city where you don't have to worry / live in fear, I believe that because here is a city focused on education and teaching (as I said above, there are education centers, schools, colleges) people end up becoming professional and this generates more jobs, with that, it ends up having less space for crimes, not to mention that several public places such as parks and squares have integrated cameras, which facilitates monitoring and prevents the occurrence of crimes.

Most of the activities in the city take place during the day, that is, the stores and commerce in general are usually open until 10 pm and most of the food outlets also close between 0 A.M./ 1 A.M.

So after these hours we hardly see many people on the streets, generally only those who are working or "partying", people generally feel safe, but in my city the format of gated communities is increasing, both buildings and houses, which they only make one main entrance with surveillance and greater security, I believe that many people like this format because they feel safer, in addition to always having someone to receive packages from the post office.

However, we know that in Brazil not all places are safe, there are states that have a high crime rate, and I honestly think that the only way to reduce the overall rate is to focus on education and consequently increase productive capacity, seeking to open more companies and have fewer unemployed people, another situation that is happening a lot is "virtual crimes" involving financial part, unfortunately many people still do not protect themselves against this type of crime.

Olá pessoal, minha primeira participação na hive learners e com um tem bem importante "Crime Rate", eu moro no Brazil, mas vou começar comentando sobre a taxa de criminalidade no meu bairro, é bem baixa, acredito que três fatores foram essenciais para ir diminuindo ao longo dos anos a taxa:

1º A maioria dos moradores são residentes antigos, ou seja um conhece o outro a mais de 10 anos no mínimo, então um sempre protege a residência do outro, como se fosse um grupo de vigilantes ativos.

2º Meu bairro ainda possui grande quantidade de "verde" , tem uma lagoa no centro do bairro e muitas arvores, acredito que lugares onde as pessoas possam fazer mais exercícios e ter uma qualidade de vida também ajudam nessa questão de segurança indiretamente, sem contar que é muito bom acordar aos sons de pássaros cantando, é o melhor despertador da vida!!!

3º Possui escolas e centros de educação, quanto maior a profissionalização, menor a taxa de desemprego, ou seja as pessoas acabam tendo maior oportunidade.

Já sobre minha cidade, considero uma cidade tranquila, crimes existem? sim existem, mas são poucos, digamos que minha cidade possui uma população de +- 200mil habitantes, o que no meu país já se considera uma cidade de médio a grande porte, porém com baixo índice de criminalidade, claro, existem alguns bairros mais perigosos, porém no geral, é uma cidade onde você não tem que ficar se preocupando/ vivendo com medo, acredito que por aqui ser uma cidade focada em educação e ensino ( como disse acima, tem centros de educação, escolas, faculdades) as pessoas acabam se profissionalizando e isso gera mais empregos, com isso, acaba tendo menos espaço para crimes, sem contar que vários pontos públicos como parques e praças contam com câmeras integradas o que facilita o monitoramento e evita a ocorrência de crimes.

A cidade tem maior parte das atividades de forma diurna, ou seja as lojas e comercio em geral, funcionam geralmente até as 10 horas da noite e a maior parte de alimentação também encerra as atividades entre 0 A.M./ 1A.M.

Então após esses horários dificilmente vemos muitas pessoas nas ruas, geralmente apenas quem está a trabalho ou está na "balada", as pessoas geralmente se sentem seguras, porém na minha cidade está aumentando o formato de condomínios fechados, tanto prédios, quanto casas, que fazem apenas uma entrada principal com vigilância e maior segurança, acredito que muitos gostam desse formato por se sentirem mais seguros, além de sempre ter alguém para receber encomendas dos correios.

Porém sabemos que no Brazil nem todos os lugares são seguros, existem estados que tem índice de criminalidade alto, e sinceramente acho que o único modo de reduzir o índice geral é focar em educação e consequentemente aumentar a capacidade produtiva, buscando abrir mais empresas e ter menos pessoas desempregadas, uma outra situação que está ocorrendo bastante são "crimes virtuais" envolvendo parte financeira, infelizmente muitas pessoas ainda não se protegem contra esse tipo de crime.
