My choice between the urban and the rural world
Hello everyone, welcome to my blog.

There's this belief, or rather a fallacy about the urban and rural areas. I'd call it a misconception on both sides of the party, where the urban people believe that people of the rural areas are novices, and not advanced like them. They often think that one should only live in the village only after retirement. The rural citizens on the other hand thinks that only the rich ones live in the city, probably because of the high cost of living in the urban areas.
You can see this misconception in play, especially during the Christmas season when the city kids return to their hometowns. The children at the village do not often get along with them because of inferiority complex. They wrongly assume that the urban kids have a better life than them, and the urban kids in turn see the rural children as novices, and the very arrogant ones see them as lowlifes.

The truth is, just as the urban areas has advantages, the rural areas also have advantages. The only advantage one can say the urban area has over the rural area is the connections that one can easily make in the city. There's always a chance to try something new in the city, unlike the village, where there are a few people with a few job opportunities.
But then, when one wants a quiet, peaceful life, the rural areas offers that more than the city which is mostly loud, and overly bright. Also, food items in the rural areas are very much cheaper than those at the urban areas. And people at the rural sides have more access to nutritious foods than the urban areas, where street food thrives.
To be able to live in the quiet part of the urban areas, one have to be sure to have access to high rate of income, because rents in these areas are overly expensive. But in the rural area, rent might not even be needed for a quiet place, and even if paying rent is required, it wouldn't be as costly as the ones in the urban areas.
Now, after weighing all the facts about the urban and rural areas, to answer the question, if there is no security issue, and money isn't a problem, I would choose to live in the urban areas instead of the rural areas, and here's my reasons.
Firstly, I love seeing people. In as much as I love staying indoors, I like watching passerbys from the balcony of whatever building I'm living in. I love the noise that comes with living in the city. It may seem like a weird reason, but the sound of cars, and people gives me a reassuring feeling that I'm surrounded.
It is true that life in the rural areas can be more peaceful, but I think the chances that I'd get lonely on the long run is very high.
If there was a debate on these, no sides would win because living life at any part of the world should always align with ones goals, and what one is becoming. A person who loves to farm would prefer the rural areas to the urban side. Same goes with a person who wants to become an entrepreneur. He would choose the urban side to the rural sides.
In conclusion, life at the village is good. I enjoy traveling home, but if I were to choose, I'd definitely go for the urban areas because it suits my personality better.
Also, the city will give me opportunities that I might not get in the rural area.
I agree with you that urban areas are better than rural areas as it can give concrete connections. Conversely, same can't be said for rural areas
Yeah, you're right. Urban areas offer more than the rural areas
Thanks for stopping by 😊
I will also choose the urban area over and over again. I can always visit the rural areas whenever I want, but my permanent base would be in the urban areas.
Of course, there's more to the urban areas than the rural areas..but we can always visit home somti
