Creative Sunday; Cute anime girl
Hello everyone!
It's the last Sunday of the month, which means April is around the corner, and it's actually an exciting time for me because it's my birth month! I can't wait to celebrate.
Hive Learner Community has given us a wonderful opportunity, and I'm really thrilled to share my artwork with you guys! Well this is the first time I'm posting my art here. So I'm a little bit nervous~•°• hehe
Art has always been my way of expressing myself, whether through writing, singing, crafting, or drawing. But there's something different about drawing, it just hits differently. I enjoy spending my time drawing whether I'm bored, sad or happy.
For a long time, some of my close relatives discouraged me from drawing, some would go as far as destroying my art tools just to prove a point. They saw it as a waste of time and effort. But who would have thought that drawing would become a major source for me to earn?
Ah~~ nobody. Now they don't bother me, they even praise my work, seeing that it has its value.
For this piece, I started working on it on Saturday evening and completed it after returning from church.
Materials used:
• Pencil
° Drawing paper.
• Pen.
° Color pencils.
• Color markers.
° Schneider Color pen.
Step one, I started with the rough sketch, which makes it easier to erase mistakes before outlining.
Second step is to use the black pen to trace the lines for more defined details.
The third step is applying color to the face, using a light brown colored pencil did the trick, the eyes was indeed, one of the most difficult parts. Using Schneider pen; purple, blue and pink. If you look closely you'll see the touch of blush on her cheeks.
The fourth step was meant to perfect the hair, especially the color settings. So I really spent time on my character’s hair.
The fifth step was for the clothing. I added a touch of green on her Chinese outfit. And it takes out really well.
The sixth step was for the background, I wanted to go all out yet at the same time I wanted to keep it simple so I settled for the flowers in the background. Using blue and pink color pencil and Schneider pen for more details. Even the butterflies were pretty.
Now for the final stage; everything was actually perfect and to my satisfaction, and let me tell you something, drawing can be hard but taking the pictures is harder.
As an anime lover who watches it daily, I have quite a unique taste when it comes to my character. And since I'm a huge fan of Chinese and Japanese clothing styles, the truth is anime was my saving grace. One time I was in depression, I spent my time after that drawing and perfecting my art style till I was satisfied.
Thanks for stopping by.
