Lost in the Hospital Maze: My Rollercoaster Hospital Experience for My Brother's Fractured Finger

image taken by me & Edited using Canva

The sudden incidents sometimes in unexpected ways becomes a reason to visit hospital and in my case... The last time I went to hospital was two months ago with little brother he had a horrible experience with his finger more like a nightmare to me and when we visited hospital and the whole experience it was kinda worse.

The way that incident happened to him and what happened in hospital is something interesting and issue with majority of hospital's here.

The Horrible Incident happens to my brother

He's like 13 Y/O and just like other kids he always is busy doing something but the way that incident happened with him is way more unexpected than you could imagine.

So, it was raining heavy outside with winds and surprisingly at that moment his finger was in door... Due to heavy wind that door crushed his middle finger..he lost his nail and condition was so bad but after applying first aid.

Without wasting a second rushed to hospital which was far away from home..

After reaching hospital I went in emergency where it is meant to be treated right there...

But wait, a doctor told me to wait surgeon is busy and after waiting for like 3 hours she came and said how did that happened etc and than told me did you got an X-ray? His finger might be broken before we treat.. go and get X-ray.. I was like you could've told me I've been waiting with him for 3 hours already.

And yeah, after X-Ray found out he had a fracture as well.. Now they did stitches like 13... Gave a list of medicine and advices also told to comeback for check-up after 2 Weeks.

After coming back at home he was in severe pain where he got injected and stitches.. fever and all.. medicine's did worked after sometime.

2 Weeks Later - Revisit for Check-up

Woke up early morning at 7 and rushed towards hospital without breakfast since I knew what will be waiting there for us

The place was already crowded even after reaching there early.. now after 2 hours when it was finally our turn and went there.. doc saw his wound a weird look at his face and told to go visit adult OPD.. like, taking child to adult OPD doesn't made sense at all since there are all kind of patient.. that's something traumatizing for a kid to see.

But well, after meeting with doctor there gave some more medicine and removed those stitches.. that's it.. was nothing burger but they made it look worse for whatever reason.

Wrapping Up...

Now it's been two months of that incident and my brother is recovered but that nail yet need to grow again. That was worse experience than I could imagine even knowing the situation of patient and his age.. still showered their worse side.

And never in my life I'll visit that place again.. I saw every patient there suffering.. no different than mine and I felt that.. only if we had better basic hospital services and proper management things could've been more better.

Fin.

Having such experiencing can be so annoying, I have heard a lot of people communicate about the management of various health facilities, yet they just don't want to do better

Indeed, it was annoying and always has been like that.. no change.. wonder when they'll do better and bring some nice changes.

Wow imagine that kind of annoying approach from a medical personnel. Waiting for 3 hours without been attended to wasn't right at all. I hope they do better in that hospital

I didn't imagine that to happen.. but well, some hospital's are just like it. They should do better and hopefully things will improve.

Oh heaven, I never want to visit hospital, if I can choose. The last time I went there, luckily its been a long time already and I don't want to visit ever.

Anyways I also experience what he experience in his finger. I'm just a bit lucky because the door was not slammed too strong. It's actually the winds fault that it happened .·´¯(>▂<)´¯·.

Due to heavy wind that door crushed his middle finger.

It was too bad to happen to your brother. I can imagine that It was a painful one. It was a very hard and bad experience for your brother considering his early age.
The nail will grow fast. Don't need to worry about it.

My brother also had a major fracture, he was hit by a car. He only recovered after 8 months of being in the hospital. Your brother will be fully better, issues with bones takes long to heal

Such a traumatising experience for a little boy. 13 stitches is too much and would definitely be painful for him. Glad nothing else happened and you were able to be with him too.

It was painful in the beginning than they injected something I don't know so he don't feel pain while stitching but after reaching home thaaat pain returned. Glad it wasn't something more worse.
