A TRIP WORTH REMEMBERING

Now that I think about it, it’s been a while I travelled that it's so hard to even recall the things that happened in my last trip. Well, after thinking about it carefully, I realized that my last trip was made last year January, hehe. It was a really fun trip and I’m so happy to be reminded about it and everything that happened on that trip. According to the hivelearners topic, we are asked to share our last trip and the next trip we might embark on and the things we hope to do on that trip. So let’s dive into it, shall we?

Last year January, I was somewhere in my state because one of my favorite persons was planning her marriage ceremony and I needed to be there. After her introduction, she and her fiancé needed to go a Supreme Court for their oath swearing. They needed witnesses since the place was quite far and their parents won’t be able to atrend. She asked me to come along and I couldn’t refuse. The next day we embarked on the journey to the oil state of Nigeria, Portharcourt.

The journey was so smooth at first because we used a personal car. We talked about a lot of things that helped us bond even better. We were four persons in that car, the two people getting married, the groom’s best friend and myself. Thanks to the groom’s friend, the car was lively because he kept playing really good songs to keep the whole experience alive, hehe. Soon as we progressed into the journey, we started getting into different check points and it was so cool seeing how my sister’s husband handled things legally, hehe.

When we finally arrived at Portharcourt, we needed to find a place to rest for the night and continue our journey the next day. The groom has a friend there who accommodated us for the night and gave us really good reception and foods. The next day we went to the courthouse and we completed our major reason for traveling there. We snapped a lot of pictures and it was so nice to see how happy they were. When we got home, we continued with the photoshoot. We had plans of going that day but due to how stressed everyone was, we decided to move early in the morning.

I actually took some really nice pictures but it was with my sister’s phone so I only have just few of them. The trip was a successful one although it was more stressful for the groom because he was the one that drove all through the trip.

Do I have plans of traveling soon? I’m not certain yet but when I do, it will be a trip to go have some fun, hehe. Maybe a vacation? I’m not sure yet. But for now, I have a lot of school work to do so I’m not thinking of traveling at all. I want to stay back in school and get some work done even after exams so I can meet up with the task at hand. Maybe when I’m ready to go on a trip and I have thought about it well, I’ll share it then, hehe.
