I was in connect, learn and earn today, I realized how the program was very important. It was indeed a platform of connecting, learning and earning.
Let's talk about the featured content for this week which says, “not like me”.
There are many characters I have exhibited just to achieve certain goals in my life. In those days, I thought it was my smartness.
I have acted like a nonentity just to achieve a certain goal; I have acted like a big boy just to get what I wanted; I have acted several times as a Romeo to love someone in order to achieve my aims; I have acted as a sick man to get attention of my brother.
There were times I acted as if I was seriously ill in order to get money from my brothers.
I was in Lagos that very day, I needed money to buy a Samsung Galaxy. My monthly salary for 6 months can't buy me the phone.
I went home to think about the strategy to use to collect money from my brothers. I had a friend who was a Doctor; he was my closest friend. I knew he would help me in my mission.
I talked to him, Dr. Moses, I need money to get a phone; and my money is not to get the phone. Please can you help me to play along with me to get the money from my brothers because if I tell my brothers to get me a phone, they won't give me big money.
He replied, “Chris, anything for you” which simply meant that he agreed.
Since he had a hospital where he was working; he admitted me to the hospital as if it was real whereas it was fake. He placed IV drip therapy in my body as if it was real; he snapped my pictures, sent it to my brothers.

Within 10 minutes brother Steve called me, “hello Chris, what happened to you?”
I fainted today, that was how I saw myself in hospital. The Doctor said, they would do a test and scan to know what exactly happened to me. I haven't done the test and scanning because the money was too much.
To run all the scanning and test, it costs #200,000. That was when a Dollar was around $450 to $500.
He told me, “they have to run the test and scan now”.
My second brother called me, I told him the same thing, and explained to him that Steve had given me money for a test and scan.
He said, “I will send you #100k to pay for hospital Bills and drugs. If that is not enough, let me know so that I can send you more”.
My third brother, Austin sent me 70k.
After the test and scan was conducted, he wrote a fake result of acute malaria and typhoid fever.
My brothers asked Doctor Moses to give the total amount of money they would spend.
Doctor Moses spoke to my Brothers, “it is acute malaria; it will take a week before we can discharge him. The treatment of acute malaria and typhoid is #37,000; now that is going to spend minimum of 7 days in hospital, a day admission is #5,000; total of seven days is #35,000. Since he lives alone here, he will be eating three meals a day; he will also buy some drugs”.
Then, my brothers replied, “if the money we sent to him is not enough, contact us for balance. Make sure you treat him well, money is not our problem”.
They were calling Doctor Moses everyday, asking him about my health, and also calling me; I received calls more than 10 times in a day from them. Thank God it was during holidays, there was no school.
After a week in hospital, Steve sent #10,000 as a gift to Doctor Moses, he sent me #30,000 to me; Austin sent me #5,000 while Samuel sent me #25,000.
I got a total of #430,000 which was enough to buy Samsung and a year's house rent. I don't even plan to get money for my house rent then.
Without such plans, they could not have given me a huge amount of money. If I told them that I needed a Samsung Galaxy phone, they would have given me 20k each or less and told me to hustle for the remaining amount.

In conclusion, I knew it was bad to act in such a way but they wouldn't have given me money if I told them the truth. And I realized it was because of the love they have for me that made them give me what I wanted.
This is the reason I said, ‘everything is love’.
To give is love, it is hard to give someone you don't love ❤️. Even if the person is on the brink of death, if there's no love, you might not give him/her.
Therefore, don't think it is because of your smartness when someone gives you something you need. Giving someone something can be triggered by love, not cunning like the way I did.

I stand up for success, and success is not achieved by merely making mouth, No room for laziness, no room for idleness. Success comes to the people who are desperately and consciously searching for it. When it seems unsuccessful or you smell failure around you, never discourage yourself from being successful.
