Is there anything perfect in the world?

Photography is something I love but very terrible at it, there are many times I don't feel proud of my shots and that's why I don't like putting them online.

I am glad the Hive Learner's w62e3 prompt has to do with photography and it is an opportunity for me to share my terrible photography skills. It would be a lie if I said I haven't been on the lookout for something huge to capture for the prompt but I didn't see anything satisfying.

I had excuses in my head of why a particular object won't be okay as an entry until this morning when I checked and discovered that the picture must be taken today. Until 9 am today, I was still thinking of a place to get a perfect shot but nothing came up.

I went to get some lamp holders for a DIY stuff I am working on and on my way back, some tiny flowers caught my attention. As tiny as they were, I find them attractive but beneath the flowers were leaves with holes from insect activities.

The holes turned me off, these aren't perfect for HL prompt but as I walked past it, I thought about the flowers again.

The question, Is there anything perfect in the world? struck my mind and I had to take a glance at the flowers again.

I returned to capture the image of the flowers and to be creative, I dismantled one of the lamp holders just to use the plastic to spice the shots which ended up as a disaster so I will just stick to the shots without the plastic.

I wasn't satisfied still until I got home and saw that the pictures were cool despite the imperfections I saw earlier.

I stared at the pictures for a long time trying to get the inspiration to write and the same question came to my mind again.

Is there anything perfect in the world?

I thought about it deeply and concluded that not in the universe is perfect. Not even nature and yet everything is beautiful depending on our definition of beauty.

There is a reason why everything in the world was created as it is. For instance, up there is where the sun is meant to be. It is not perfect, there are days when it burns too hot that we wish it would stop and vice versa, and regardless of the issues we have with it, it is beautiful just the way it is.

Let's talk about the human body, imagine if the eyes were on our palms. We have to stretch our hands when walking just to see where we are going which is weird. The eyes are where they are meant to be as well, having colored eyes, tiny, huge, or whatever terms that can be used to qualify the eyes doesn't take a pinch of beauty away from you. You are not perfect but beautiful just the way you are.

The need to be perfect has made a lot of people make terrible mistakes they are regretting today. Perfection is just not a thing we can achieve, even the people or things we refer to as best have one thing they are struggling with that we aren't seeing.

I remembered someone using a particular General Overseer marriage as an example of a perfect relationship and I felt disappointed. As beautiful as we see their relationship from afar, there are challenges they do not speak about to the world and their approach to solving those challenges is the difference between them and many people out there.

Being rich doesn't make you perfect, having the best IQ in the world is not the key to perfection, and no matter how much we try, there will always be something we could have done better.

Since we are not meant to be perfect, I will conclude that we are all beautiful imperfect beings.
