Balancing ethics, morals and laws.
Greetings to everyone on this sphere. It's another outstanding Wednesday morning here. It was cloudy yesterday, but today the weather is fairly ok, and the sun has started coming out.
Stumbling on today's post, I started wondering whether I could even drop any thought in regards to the theme. I never expected this because when it comes to some of these things, I hardly find sufficient points to back myself up or to write extensively the way I want.I would like to make an attempt at defining some of the basic words that stood out for me here.
The first one is ethics. This simply means the values that are set to guide individuals or organizations towards good decision-making. Ethics can simply be seen as any principle that would enable an organization or individual to achieve their goals through concrete decision-making. Ethics is very important and plays a vital role in both the human and organizational sectors. Ethics helps to build good morals and set things in order. It would be one to differentiate between good and bad and set priorities in order.
Ethics can propel one to take responsibility and face any consequences for any decision-making venture. We are living in Africa, where ethics are pivotal due to the kind of cultural heritage we have. Some cultures are more principled than the others. There are certain cultures I like because of the kind of ethics they have, and even the young ones emulate such kind of gesture. One of the strongest aspects of ethics that is good is in the place of decision-making. There are many people that don't know how to talk, relate, and live amongst people. Ethics would help to channel your thoughts aright and take the right decision. There is a body that is not good at so many things, but after we introduced some principles for him, today, even though not completely, he adheres to the instructions. Those value systems enshrined in him are yielding good results because of the visible transformation.
Ethics can be applied in any area of human endeavor.Morals, on the other hand, could be seen as a way of life, whether it is good or bad. Morals can be behavior or synonymous with ethics, sha...There should be a balance between ethics and morals whenever you are making a law. Ethics and morals are very important, but totally putting them into law might raise more dust if not properly managed. For instance, in the country called Nigeria, where we have so many tribes and languages, it would be very difficult to have a stereotyped law that would be binding on every people based on the different locations that people come from. In making law, let's consider the different religion, cultures etc that we have.
Let's learn to value one another's background and what we have to offer. I think it would be better if this could be done according to the various regions we have so that each region would have its law according to what is workable and what agrees with their culture. This would go along to foster unity and tranquility. In whatever we do, let there be balance and let everything be with tolerance.
Thanks for reading through.
In a country like Nigeria with different tribes and cultures, it’s hard to use one law for everyone. It makes more sense to consider people’s backgrounds and create rules that fit each region. That way, people can live better together with more understanding and peace.
True talk my dear
Yes, we should all value each other background. Thanks for sharing.
Yes bro
Hmmm! This is deep. If we go by what you are suggesting, we will have a better country especially for Nigeria. Every region has what is working for them. Just like the eastern Nigeria, what works for them is different from what works for the people in northern Nigeria.
Thanks for sharing
Mama, thanks so much.
You're right ethics and moral must be use or balance wisely especially in Nigeria that we have lot of tribes are languages. And since each tribes believe in different things it's very hard to use law because before we can make law we have to consider people's backgrounds.
Ok dear. Thanks
