The Just Crime
The Just Crime
The word "law" is interpreted by people differently, for me it means fair, just, right, holy and superior.
Law is one of the most powerful tools of governance, it is the law that keeps us in order and regulates our activities.
So, when it comes to issues about the law, I esteem it high and approach it with the mindset that we are dealing with something that is perfect or close to perfection.
Cut across different nations and societies, are different laws and rules governing the affairs of such places, even in the digital world and our families.
I have never seen any law that encourages evil. Majority of laws are for the betterment of our world. Therefore, It is just to punish anyone who goes contrary to the law because he/she is literally fighting against the progress of humanity.
I am not disputing the facts that there are evil laws. We have heard stories of our ancestors obeyed certain terrible laws that involve evil sacrificial acts. For such, common sense should keep us away. Moreover, some of those laws have been abolished.
So, there is no justifiable reason for breaking the law. Whether you know about it or not. As far as it is a law, if one goes against it, there's a consequence.
But we are humans, some say "the law is meant to be broken." No matter how much we try, going against laid down rules is inevitable.
Sometimes, it's deliberate for reasons we consider just and sometimes it isn't deliberate, it just happens.
Before anyone intentionally commits a crime, he/she must have considered his actions and judged them fair before executing it.
Even a thief has a reason for stealing, if you interact with him, he will give you reasons why he did so and if it were in his power to judge, he may declare himself just for the act.
As much as we have good reasons to commit crimes, I want to assure you that no crime, no matter how innocent it looks, is just. We don't have any reason whatsoever to break the law.
Nevertheless, I am human, there are things that the law forbids that I can break and not be scared to face the wrath of the law and if someone commits such, I'll not condemn the person.
That crime for me is saving the life of anyone the government or the society condemned to death.
I know there are certain things people do that we consider guilty to die. But life is an expensive commodity, people can change, and murder, whether by justice or injustice is unfair to me. No one is beyond repairs. We have heard of people with terrible crime records who transform into saints.
We have heard of people who came out of prison and became great leaders who changed their nations.
I said earlier on that the law is pure and genuine, that's right but those who weld the law sometimes are not evil. They can manipulate those good laws for their selfish interest, making the law corrupt.
If anyone should pave the way for a criminal to escape death, and he or she is apprehended. For me, the person did the right thing even though that act qualifies him/her to be an offender of the law.
Nobody is above the law, and as such, everybody should respect the law and not go against it.
Nobody is perfect and sometimes, they break the law, but then, there should be a space for forgiveness
Without rules their will not be orderliness in a community, but then as human we are not perfect we tend to break those laws in way or the other,I agree with you when you stated that people change even when the commit the worse crime,no one is perfect and we are all working towards perfection.
Thank you for sharing this. I believe the society is greatly responsible for many criminals out there in addition to greed they may have. Having to escape death especially for crimes not relating to murder should go pardonable.
